What made it interesting was that the pink hair girl played herself off like a delinquent and is "cool and spicy". They keep it up somewhat, but it really drops her character for me when she's constantly a giddy school girl.

I liked it enough to collect the manga, in fact. The third season though..it's almost as incoherent as watching the last 6 episodes of Neon Genesis Evangelion.
