Online	Permalink Reply Quote Posted 26 days ago The real breakthrough we need is the ability to 'hijack' the nerve impulses to and from the brain like the nerve gear does, Then we could possibly see something like SAOs full dive. As of now all these systems are still just intermediaries to the brain, we'll always be aware we're just playing a game, not to mention the computing power we would need for a near 1:1 simulation of a world like Aincrad on top of getting rid of the 'middle men' so to speak. I'm guessing in about 50 years we could probably manage that, maybe not at the consumer level though.

Since there are company like Song, Google, Nintendo, and Oculus. They are making their own version of AR machine, such as the Oculus Rift from Oculus, and Google Glasses from Google. Once AR machines have made into the market, it wont take long for a new gen of gaming, AKA Virtual Reality MMORPG something like SAO and .Hack .
