What if someone ask you to dance, and dancing makes you super shy?

I am a walking contradiction.

I am very friendly and bubbly and love to meet/talk to people...But my outside demeanor is so painfully shy, that I come across to people as being "stuck up", "icy"...Which I am anything but! Problem is, I am VERY shy on the outside, when all I want to do is get to know you and talk/be friends! It takes a great deal of courage for me even to walk into a room full of people, or let's say, onto a full train or bus.

But once I can overcome my painful outside shyness, I can't stop talking XD

i am the same way not meaning to copy you but thats almost exactly how i am minus bubbly

How would dancing make you shy? It's a form of expression that doesn't require words. If anything it's a lucky break because you can communicate with motion.

This is my biggest anxiety. That people think I am dull or boring. I have no clue, maybe they do. But I don't think people who judge so quickly are worth it to begin with.

I used to be like this. Not sure what changed because I started to become much more outgoing recently and now my talky inside is also how I am pretty much at first impression IRL as well.

We are total opposites. I used to be very outgoing and then after I quit high school and developed schizophrenia, I became a social shut in.

Well you can go to groups that have same disorder as you and talk all about what you have in common

I dont mind meeting people, just not sure I want to talk to them , or really have anything to say.
