Yes. I own one, but it's mostly for decoration in my room. Maybe I should learn how to use it just in case somebody ever breaks into my house?

I handled a sword several times in the Marines. Mostly for parades and drills.

Yes, I own a wooden one. I've also held a real one since my cousin likes to collect swords as wall decorations.

Yes.
I used to do Aikido, Shinkendo, and a little Naginata training a few years ago.

I wish I never quit, but life sort of made that impossible.

It was a LOT of fun, but our sensei used to train us ragged. It wasn't the actual training that was rough, it was his warm ups that were the most intense part. I mean, the training was rough at times, but holy crap our warm up and cool down exercises were nuts

I never got to use a katana but he did let me give it a few swings so I could see how it compared to the bokken I had been using.

He used to purposely give me this one bokken he had that wasn't balanced very well, and was very heavy. Then one day he gave me a properly balanced one and I was like "HOLY CRAP SO LIGHT I CAN SWING THIS LIKE NOTHING!!!"

Yeah all kinds of swords, also lots of guns, crossbows, regular bows, maces, you name it, I've probably played around with one.

My uncle had a huge weapon collection and so did a friend, and I own a set of Japanese swords which I bought from the market 10 years ago, cheap ornamental ones, pretty sure they're illegal to own now though.

Oh yeah I held a World War 2 katana that my friend owns because his grandfather killed a soldier in the war and kept the blood stained flag and sword.

I've held only a Gladius and a Carbon Steel Sting from lord of the rings...from what I learned real swords these modern times are made out of Carbon Steel (NOT STAINLESS STEEL)...and blade and handle is one piece not two pieces...the cheap ones are below 150ish dollars while what's considered "real" ones are over

I've held a couple different swords before, specifically a katana and a great-sword.
