Why yes in fact I own several. One is a very ornately decorated -albeit dull- katana, while my other one I got at Scottish festival, and is actually your typical European Mercenary Weapon used back in the day, because Scotland has an incredibly violent history even against itself, much more so against other countries.
Its surprisingly light weight, and the blade alone is like, over 3 feet long! And it has the sweetest @s$ hilt you ever did see.
That, and I found a japanese suicide knife at my neighbors garage sale. I don't plan on using it, but it is sharp as hell. I also found a lovely practice sword.
Oh, and I have some wrapping paper tubes that I like to duel my younger brother with.

Not only have i held swords but I have used them I am in my uncles reenactment group and the swords range from a great sword to the typical anglo saxon short swords, I've also worn chain mail and plate armour now that is hard to fight in.

back in my primary school days, my class had a field trip to a museum of japanese history. though i dont remember much of what i learned that day, the most vivid memory i have of that day, is being permited to hold a katana, that aparently was not a replica, but an actual heirloom of japanese history. unfourtunately, i dont remember the history behind the katana, but the fealing of awe as i stood there surounded by japanese art, was profound, and i remeber it clearly even today, more than 20 years later. im completely convinced that im not mistaken, thinking that it was a katana with a long history.
