Tonari no Kaibatsu (wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I am right now)
Shinsekai Yori (pretty interesting but not sure about the direction it's heading towards right now)
Natsume Yuujinchou Shi (no doubt)
Natsuyuki Rendezvous (I liked its realistic approach to love)
And if there's any other noteworthy anime aired this year, I don't recall because the rest were pretty mediocre. (ok I heard Space Bros was good but I couldn't get into it)

Agree entirely with Kids on the Slope. Characters, soundtrack, and animation were all amazing. Whenever Shinichiro Watanabe and Yoko Kanno get together, something special is bound to happen. Kokoro Connect was also good and currently Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai is progressing nicely as the character relationships are starting to develop more etc
