Read that list carefully. Why would this be a rational means of preventing cancer? This suggests changing every aspect of one's life to revolve around cancer. I'm a little surprised there's no entry in this list of "stop watching TV and playing video games, go outside and plant a tree".

Why does this list make absolutely no mention of genetics? Cancer is a biological anomaly. Thus biological causes have the biggest impact. A person could follow this list 100% and get cancer, or someone could contradict this entire list and not get cancer. This list simply should not be promoted, it is not rational. Unless people's genetics are flawed because they weren't being spiritual enough in the first place.

I also do not like promoting living in fear. This encourages distrusting virtually the entire food market (I'm not sure what promoters of "natural alternatives" promote, finding a niche store or making all food in your backyard). I'd gladly choose living a short happy life over a long miserable life where fear is a factor in my every decision.

Cancer is an astrological sign, its zodiac symbol is a crab.

I wish they could prevent cancer my father died of it last year the thing was , he wasnt the smoker of the family either. My grandpa lived till he was 85 smoking everyday and drinking and fought in world war 2 , he never got cancer or a problem related to his habits. Im thinking that it might be like a bad diet or the enviroment that causes cancer in some people but thats my finfoil hat ideas. Definitely not fun to watch someone lay on their deathhbed for 6 months especially your father.

YES, it damn well does. CML since '01, I challenge Death daily to try and pull the Cancer Kill card on me. So far we've been content to grimly acknowledge the other and stay at an impasse.

A bunch of actual facts mixed in with complete and utter garbage spewed by alternative med quacks. If you actually want to know things about cancer, I suggest you use actual legitimate sources:

The only thing I've learned about "facts" is that all "facts" are disputable.
Even provided significant proof, something doesn't ALWAYS cure or ALWAYS kill.
The three most dangerous words with regard to tests are ALWAYS, NEVER and LIKELY.
They either create false hope, instill great terror, or coax a semblance of doubt over something.

It is still true that nearly everything is good in moderation, it's just the amounts change for each.
A little bit of antigenic stimulation powers up the immune system to fight off bigger threats, etc.

(Of course, a little bit of poison isn't good at all, but we certainly take that in somewhere too.)

Cancer is a serious topic so I'm not going to post in pirate speak in this thread.

I work for a company that is doing extensive research on cancer. We are trying to create a drug that specifically targets and kills cancer cells. This drug will be used with other cancer treatments to improve the success rate of those treatments.

Cancer is extremely unpredictable. We don't know why some people have higher rates of cancer than others, why some don't respond to treatments or how even some cancers start. One person could be smoking 2 packs a day for 50 years and never get cancer. Not even a shred. Another could smoke for 2 years, half a pack a day and get diagnosed with lung cancer. (Smoking is the easiest example to go by).

Also, here's something weird. In my lab, we have a container of Sand from EMD chemicals (chemical/solvent company - They get the sand from the ocean). We use the sand to calibrate our 'particle size by sieve' apparatus since the sand has a good mix of various particle sizes. This container of sand, I shit you not, has these words printed in red letters on the back label. MAY CAUSE CANCER. I was surprised when I first saw this and blurted out "are you shitting me? Something as inert as sand may cause cancer?" Might as well put 'MAY CAUSE CANCER' on everything then.

My mom had thyroid cancer and has survived. My dad has renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer that ultimately metastasised to his heart) and passed.

My brother-in-law had leukemia but it has regressed completely and he's still as healthy as ever. Hopefully yours goes away forever.

Someone needs to go back to high school. I scrolled through this and I already saw some glaring stuff wrong with the article. Acidity does not promote growth, basic environments promote growth. Ever notice how soda makes your teeth and bones wear down? Also why do you think your stomach is acidic? Why do you think the natural flora of the body is acidic?

Then there's the fact you say distilled water is acidic? Are you dumb? THE WHOLE PREMISE OF DISTILLED WATER IS PERFECT H+ to OH- balance indicating a Ph of 7. NEUTRAL.

The reason why nutrasweet works is because it's a sugar that CANNOT BE DIGESTED BY HUMANS. We do not have the enzymes to digest those sugars. Cancer cells are HUMAN cells, and thus do not carry the enzyme needed to digest it. Go look up what a PET scan is. Yes cancer cells do use sugar, much like the rest of life on earth, but only certain types of sugars. Yes the basic components of the nutrasweets and whatever can be broken down into metabolized sugar molecules, but fortunately and unfortunately (lactose intolerance), most sugars come in disaccharides..... and many of those disaccharides can't be snipped.

To even put the Hopkin's brand on this post is an insult to the hospital and to modern medicine. Thanks.

I doubt aspartame causes cancer.
I doubt acidic foods cause cancer.

Blah. I'll live how I want.
