As a kid when you're seen as just a friend you have to learn to get over it and move on. But for some if you have a history of it as an adult it gets harder and harder to break the cycle. I'm not sure if i can break this cycle but i know i have to. Any advice?

you're unconsciously communicating to people that your own feelings don't matter. This may make it seem like you have low self-worth, which is the opposite of confidence.

You might be coming off as a little desperate, which is quite the attraction killer. You might be rushing things emotionally. You might also be placing this person on a pedestal, because you're so caught up in the idea of the relationship, that you're quick to assume this person is "perfect"

Examine your own neediness. In one word, relax. There will always be many more encounters besides this one, so stop treating it like the last one you'll ever have.

If you already tried breaking the touchy feely/flirting thing with him/her then I suggest that the person is not interested.

When that happens you may have to take that person down to being an acquaintance which is offensive but find someone else to fit for your needs.

I get stuck there as well, so it's not just happening with guys. It sucks, but oddly it doesn't bother me....except for one person...he's the exception.

It's pretty obvious that if you keep hanging around a girl, other girls will think you're either gay or her toy, thus keeping potential partners away.

Why do you hang around girls? Most of them aren't fun to be friends with. Either talking about appearance or relationships.

Self-esteem isn't the issue lol I love who i am I'm just looked at as the safe guy that you can chill with and get advice from. But because i'm what some would call "too nice" it backfires on me. I'm a gentleman who respect women but a lot of them go for the jerks. How do I know this? They tell me lol
