I'm planning on going to the Anime USA convention in DC with some friends. I was wondering what this convention is like compared to others. Does it have a lot of cosplay? What are normally the main attractions. Does anyone else plan on going to this?
Lastly, which websites do people usually use to order costumes from?

I like Hotelcons better then non hotelcon.
You will have a lot more fun here then Otakon, if you into the party scene.
Everyone at hotelcons just party and enjoy having a good time.
That's the best part of them.
Still has everything you'll see at Otakon.
Bands, shopping, voice actors, everything.

It's an alright con. Last year was pretty weak but I think it was just a fluke since I've been going there for years and have always had fun, including last year.
If you're looking for a really packed con or one with the best guests that the industry has to offer, this one isn't that big yet. If you've been to Katsucon before, it's smaller than that. But like BDaichi said, it has pretty much the same stuff larger cons offer (dealers hall, videos, panels, workshops, cafe, masquerade, rave/dances, etc.). I'd say it has less cosplay than some of the cons that I frequent, but it's far from without.
Hotel cons are a lot of fun thought since it's basically 24-hour anime-ville lol. No open or close times for the con and there are always people around to hang with.
