GodWhomIsMike wrote: I preordered the Wii U Deluxe and the new Mario game, and have no idea why. I am going to get it Sunday, and have no idea why. FOMG! I feel the same way!!! I, too, have no idea why I even so much as looked at any article with "Wii U" in it, spit on the screen, slammed the back button, and pretended such an incident never happened....So I'm expecting the deluxe Pii U will arrive perhaps Monday at the earliest via Purolator. Now with all of that being said, I reiterate you and now myself: I have no idea why. |

There are already people camped out in front of a local Mom & Pop electronics boutique down the street. It's already wrapped around the corner lol. I thought about getting a Wii-U, but there just isn't any games I want for it right now. It seems like a waste for something I may only spend a week with and then get bored of quite quickly.

That always perplexed me that people stoop to such methods of camping outside the store just to get an item that they could pre-order online (for those who have credit cards and a lot more patience, that is...). Yet Nintendo's practically forcing the impatient people into such a situation by stupidly releasing their console on a Sunday. It's like they want to hear news of some person getting shanked and robbed of their new console and/or games.

I'm waking up at 9:45 tomorrow morning, heading to Best Buy around 10:30, handing in my preorder receipt, and then heading home.

At least you have yours, I still have to wait at least 24 hours (add 12 more for update) until mine comes...

I just picked mine up today with zombie u and its just sitting there in the box... I want to play it so bad but the reason why I bought it was because I wanted to flip it for more. Should I just open it and play it? I checked kijiji and most of the prices are ranging from 500-650.

So how is the Wii U overall? I'm still trying to decide if I want to drop the $450 on the black one.

The price of the console is $349.99 plus tax, and it should end up in the $370-$380 range after tax. Retail games range from $39.99 to $59.99. But overall, it's a great deal of fun to play. If you're going to pick up a Wii U console, you would do well to pick up the 32GB Black Deluxe Console Set. It's $50 more than the Basic Set, but you're getting a $60 game at a $10 discount, four times the internal memory, plus some extra free accessories, and you get enrolled in the Deluxe Digital Promotion, which grants you $5 back for every $50 you spend in the Nintendo eShop. The Promotion will run until at least the end of December 2014. If you're thinking of picking up ZombiU but you're not too sure about it, there's supposed to be a downloadable demo of the game that will be available no later than around December 15. There's also a demo of Rayman Legends coming soon. |
