Being cute is the only strong point of this show. It's mediocre at best, really. But that didn't stop me from liking it a lot.

Recommended to slice of life lovers.

Usagi Drop is very similar. I liked both of them.

This show was alright. I was definitely cute but I think it was fan-service dominated which made the first half of the series to watch, it did get a little better in the second half. I certainly don't think it is up there with Angel Beats! or Clannad but it was nice to watch to pass the time. As for whether it is under rated I'd say not, it was a little above average but was not a masterpiece.

I like to think of it as in the same ball park as Clannad and Angel Beats! However, they are no where close. It is not a masterpiece that is for sure. How every I do not feel it is "fan-service dominated" at all. I was quite surprise at the amount of time they to the flesh out the relationship between him and the girls and when to step back a think about all the hardship this guy is putting himself trough for these girls it is quite touching. The main point of this thread is not to put it up on some pedestal and sing it prasies from on high. It is to point out the fact this is worth your time to watch and is not the garbage it appears to be.

So it is 100% without incest and lolicon? Because that would be the only way I would watch it.
If it is truly just an underrated innocent moe anime I don't think that is much to ask.

It is 100% without incest. The MC is not a lolicon, however his professor is. Fortunately, he gets the crap beaten out of him by one of the other characters for professing an unhealthy interest in the girls. He's the only part of the series I don't like. Fortunately he's not a big part of the series.

Okay that is very good. It's just I have seen so many jokes online when it comes to perfectly normal loving fathers that I would have been sad if a series that was suppose to show that relationship had something like that, you know?

It was okay. As someone said before, Usagi Drop is very similar and so much better than Papakiki. So check that out if you already haven't.

I'd say they are fairly different, especially since the situations are handled very differently. And the age of the MC makes a major difference.

While Usagi Drop is a better show, PapaKiki is still well worth watching.

Well, yes, I agree with what you said. What I meant is that the plot is similar: Single man takes in relative(s) and hilarity ensues.

Hugely underrated show. It has amazing moments of genuine emotion and is really a very heartwarming show all around.

It is similar to Usagi Drop (which is in my top 10 anime of all time), but it does deal more with loss and the difficulties of their particular situation, not to mention that the ages of the characters are different, so it is distinct in that way. It's not quite as good as Usagi Drop but still one of my 10/10 series and one of my favorites of the year.

It can't compete with Clannad, but then again, nothing much can. It was still an amazing show - one of my favorite slice-of-life anime. I wish that they would make a sequel to it at some point - it feels like it would have a great continuing storyline, but it's pretty unlikely that such a thing will happen.
