Does anyone have an exotic pet, an animal you don't see in your average household? Or if you don't, would you get one if you could?

I myself have a 2 y/o snow corn snake and i love it. I recently obtained it and it hasn't been 'popped' for it's gender yet, so i'll find out sooner or later when i get the time. Well it's a beautiful, gentle snake to have and i recommend it to any expert-beginner.

I have a corn snake too. He's a Miami phase and almost six years old.

I agree, they make great pets. The only real dilemma I've faced with him is that it's hard to find someone to take care of him when I'm gone for extended periods because everyone I know seems to be afraid of snakes/dead mice.

No, but I once ate sea turtle, does that count?

...It was pretty good, not gonna lie.

That doesn't count anymore than going into a thread asking if you have kids and replying "No, but i enjoy eating delicious child flesh."

There's this scarlet macaw at a pet store that always frightened me as a child. I've always wanted to buy that thing so I could sock it in it's scary beak

You must've been easily frightened as a child.

I, too, remember a scarlet macaw during my childhood. But he was awesome.

Heehee I was a pretty timid little girl but I swear that macaw had a death wish for me. It would chase me screeching all like "Caw caaaw!"

I have three rats (not that exotic, but not that common either...)

When they die (hopefully not too soon!) I'm planning on getting a bearded dragon.

Yeah lol. My mom freaked out at the sight of the rat, and it was frozen. And nobody, except my dad, would want to handle my snake here.

Get one! My friend recently bought a baby and it's adorable. Or maybe a Savannah Monitor, they are easier of the rest of the monitors to have and quite intelligent than most reptiles.
