CR is so inactive!
Posted 9/16/12 , edited 9/16/12
Is it just me or do you think that CR is extremely inactive! I had many accounts on here before this one, and when i was on at those times it was extremely active. However now it has just a few people on!

If you're talking about the forums, to me the activity is pretty normal, although I guess I missed out on the "golden years" of CR so I really don't have a reference to compare.

As for deleting inactive and banned accounts, I don't really care.

That was because we had many 13-18 years old users on crunchyroll last time. They created groups like ''crunchyroll family'' and spent all day talking to their onii chans and imouto sans. Right now the majority of the users on this site are > 20 years old and it's pretty clear that they prefer posting in forums to talking to people. Correct me if I'm wrong.

And no, we won't ban/nuke someone for inactivity.

I think activity is pretty normal since a couple months...removing banned/inactive accounts wouldn't change anything...

All the girls moved to tumblr. No one really goes here for socializing anymore. :\

Uh, "prefer posting in forums to talking to people.", wouldn't that be the exact same on Crunchyroll?? Maybe you meant that they prefer to watch shows instead of posting? : )

Besides, don't we still have tons of 13-18 year old users? It's not like the community's age suddenly shifted 5+ years up. Especially considering that Crunchyroll is starting to get a big list of anime and drama (well maybe not drama).

@ OP: Why on earth would we delete someone's account for being inactive? :/ Imagine how much it would suck if you had an account you cared about, and you were gone for a while, and then came back only to find that your account was gone. After all, your Crunchyroll account is something personal.

I didn't mean inactive sorry! I mean the "nuked" or whatever accounts. The accounts with the question mark next to it.

I think nuked accounts should be deleted because it saves me the trouble of having to go through my entire friends list and painfully deleting them one at a time.

Some of you people don't really din't get it (or maybe I understood it in a different way). I could care less if crunchyroll had less people or became boring or inactive or what, but it wouldn't have buddies for a reason. If it was just about posting in the forums and watching anime then there would be no buddies or guest book! I think it allows people to communicate. I understand that crunchyroll is not for kids, but some of the money they get are from those people. So stfu!

i don't really think that CR is very inactive. sure, it might have been better some years ago, but it's not bad now.
and i feel that we have less young members because, speaking as a >20 year old member, feel that not many people in my generation like anime/manga. which is sad really, i have a hard time having friends because i don't really know anyone that likes anime. maybe this is just me in the completely wrong place to find people like me, but my life kinda socially sucks (offine).
and i don't think people's accounts should be deleted for inactivity. i mean, why would you have to? there's no reason to.

NO!!! They should definitely not nuke the accounts that are inactive. I wasn't on this account for almost a year, would've been unsettling to come back to find it nuked :x It's pretty active in my opinion.

I kinda agree. One girl at my work said something along the lines of, "So your going to this convention "final round" to play video games and watch some cartoons with friends?" The she proceeded to tell me her favorite shows were Jersey Shore, The Bad Girls Club, and Teen Mom. My reaction was....
