Ya, I doubt there will be a S2. It will probably be a movie at best or at lesser degree, an OVA.

Is even an OVA likely now? Most other series are advertising their upcoming OVA already and they are up for preorder on amazon.co.jp but there is nothing for Tari Tari. This weekend may be it

It really depends on the series. Occasionally you can wait up to a year before they even announce an OVA.

The recent trend of announcing an OVA while the series is still running just means that they've been planning on the OVA right from the beginning. It's more common, imo, for OVAs to be announced much later. Then they'll create a OVA to respark interest and maybe increase sales. Essentially, the OVA is a promotional tool.

Yeah, most are bundled with the original manga tankobons or light novels. I will need to see if the manga adaptation continues; ifnot then there isn't much to promote... Unless they are doing a second season. I have the July issue coming next week with my Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai shipment but I expect it does not cover the whole season so at least one more volume is likely coming. I really should have got August Joker magazine as it has a Tari Tari poster...

They occasionally do it for the last DVD/BD in a set, so that's something to keep in mind as well. But, since this is only a 1 cour series, I doubt it would be done in this case.

Nice!! Too bad you didn't live closer. I'd totally want to borrow all your stuff. ;)

In any case, I wouldn't give up hope. It took a while for the Hanusaku Iroha movie to be announced. Since that was an original series, people really weren't sure if we'd get more. It also took a while for season 2 of Chihaya to be announced. Even though the manga had plenty for a second season, the belief was the series was too niche to be successful. I can think of other examples, but you get the point.

I think a whole 2nd season is almost improbable , but an OVA where they all meet up is really possible ^^ ! Especially since
there's something like a love story between Taichi and Sawa !!
So let's hope there will be another episode !!

Well, the BluRay sales certainly suggest that it has a chance at some sort of continuation, whether it be an OVA, 2nd season, or movie.

Coming in 3rd behind two series that are adaptations of extremely popular light novel series suggests that Tari Tari was the strongest original anime of the season.

Second disc also did over ten thousand units. I watch the official site news and twitter accounts and see promotions of season one but no mentions of season two. The talented seiyuu are doing other work of course but most do as many shows as they can get.

Evergreen wrote it. That seems to be the main question, can they come up with further stories to tell? Hanasaku Iroha is getting a movie but I think it could use one more than Tari Tari as it has really obvious follow up possibilities.

But is coming up with a further stories to tell really something that they think about? That is up to the "creative" types. The people that green-light things only care about what amount of money they are likely to make on it. (Maybe I'm too cynical...)
