It's definitely going to be hard to keep that number of simulcasts up next season though. The number of continuing simulcasts next season could be as low as 8, and that's including the 2 TV specials...

Don't the short series typically run for two or more seasons? Hardly a replacement for Magi and Zetsuen no Tempest, but the on-going chart should still look full.

Only the Takeshobo ones. I'll put CR's lineup into 4 different categories:

Should continue: Naruto, Fairy Tail, HxH, Cardfight Vanguard, Chihayafuru 2, Ai Mai Mi and the 2 TV specials. I'm not completely sure if the specials will finish airing before the next lot of announcements or not, and there's a small chance that HxH could end.

Unsure, but could continue: Gintama, Uchuu Kyoudai, Folktales from Japan

Unsure, but will probably end: Rock Lee, Saint Seiya Omega, Ishida and Asakura

Ending: The rest.

Did Funimation take a vacation? Or are we going back to the time when Funimation would license stuff that finished on Crunchyroll like all of those Kadokawa shows. Or is it possible that Crunchyroll has significantly grown to the point that it has convinced publishers that Crunchyroll has a significant value in it's streaming capabilities, that streaming can be separated from physical licensing.

Okay Vividred Operation's Publisher is Aniplex so when you think about it, it's kinda obvious now that Crunchyroll would get it.

Does CR forgot about Senyu? The news says the simulcast time is 10:00am PST (which is only about 45 minutes from now), but it isn't listed in the launch calendar and there is still no placeholder for episode 1 in the show page as well.

Oh well, I guess it's going to be fixed soon.

Wow, I really thought Funi would grab this. Makes me wonder what they are going to pick up?

There are two series this season that it would be surprising if Funimation didn't simulcast:

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai NEXT
Hetalia: The Beautiful World

The former premieres in 2 days, while the latter doesn't premiere until the end of the month.

There is also Senran Kagura, which seems like a good fit as one of Funimation's fanservice titles, and which is now 2 days past the premiere date in Japan.

Although I wouldn't peg it as a Funimation simulcast, Minami-ke Tadaima is another premiered series that is MIA from simulcasting.

We've also certainly seen Funimation do an abrupt about face on simulcasts before. In summer 2010, they had one of their strongest simulcast lineups, but the following season they were down to only two titles (one shared with CR) and announced and started those so late that many people began to think they had dropped out of the simulcast game altogether.

We had early indications they were going to step up their game for fall 2012, but I for one had not seen any information on their plans for this season.

It apparently was, as episode 1 was available when I checked just before posting this.

Yea I thought Funimation would do this after having Strike Witches. The Ancient One has some ideas about Funi too!I am just wondering if they are so many problems with the website /player issues publishers went with CR instead for more being more reliable.Maybe they are going to fix things and would be a bad time to do too many simulcasts. It can't be the shows are bad I am already hooked on a few of them.Another thought maybe they see the Spring releases to be more suitable for them.

Whatever the reason CR has this and many others so at least its on.

They are probably saving money for the spring, I agree with you on that.
