Right....your thumbs hurt from too much playing with something...but I'd bet it sure as hell wasn't your new "tablet". I'm reminded of the "Pervy Sage" from Naruto. lol |

The wizard from Wicked City comes to mind. |

Effing works for me. heck the actual swear doesn't bother me. but since I wear a white coat on the job I have to talk all prissy like. |

I find it odd that I'm the mentor in the local anime group. I'm always the oldest one there by 5 years, and sometimes the school aged kids ask me questions about bullying and how to get it to stop, or just general life questions. And I'm only 31! I'm still young dangit!

Pushing 40. been watching since the 1970s. i used to get up around 4:30 in the morning to watch Battle For The Planets, Star Blazers and Robotech on a UHF station that barely reached our location. the station was based about 2 hours away . There were mornings where i had to HOLD THE RABBIT EARS!!! just to get a picture (anyone else remember those days?). for young ones in the audience Cable was too expensive back then. And none of the mainstream Channels (CBS, ABC, NBC) aired anime.
It is kinda funny i do sometimes feel like I should not be here because of my age. but then i think i am here for the anime not what other members on the site think. I have never been told to leave because of my age. I originally joined so my baby girl ( she will be 15 this year) and I could watch more current shows. thinking about my daughter's age is making me feel WAY OLD right now. To be honest I am in this for the long haul. I will watch anime til the day i die! I would like to post often but sometimes the age gap gets to me. |

bwahahahaha, so many oldies comin out of the woodworks to tell people who think they are oldies that they aren't really oldies :D
but good for you, being a supportive parent and not letting your kids feel odd for watching anime and such. There is that stigma in society that won't be cleared for at least another generation, unfortunately. It's hard finding people that enjoy these things, I don't mind if they are 90 years old. That being said, it'd be awesome to find people my age. |

And we had a black & white TV forever. :) flashersmurf wrote: It is kinda funny i do sometimes feel like I should not be here because of my age. but then i think i am here for the anime not what other members on the site think. You are never too old to enjoy something that you love, and if anyone disagrees I will beat them with my cane!

Nothing like a real good "Higurashi face" at her male suitor on the way out the door to make make sure ones innocent niece comes home... intact. |
