I'm going to be 24 in a few days. I don't think your too old to ever stop watching anime. I mean as long as you can do normal things in life like have a job and handle life and such. Watching anime shouldn't be a problem, I'll be watching anime till I'm old and decrepid. Lol

My personal belief is you are never too old for Anime, I'm turning 40 in 16 days and I don't see any stop to my anime enjoyment in the coming years. I watch a wide range of anime, romance, comedy, mech, magical girl, heck I even enjoy some shojou anime and manga and I'm a guy. Here in Texas and I'm sure in other states as well they have a specific Con for the older anime fans that may feel out of place at the "younger" Cons. It's called OtaCon and it occurs every year. I didn't get to make it this year but I plan on going next year for sure.

I'm 40 & still love Anime. It's an addiction but as with age your taste change & so what you watch may change but I find that I see the plots & twists a lot easier to read even though what you think sometimes goes that way but turns left when you thought it would turn right. at the last possible minute. Biggest annoyance is when a series ends & you just got into it.

I'm 33 and I still enjoy anime and other aspects of Japanese pop culture. People of our generation are now more apt to openly enjoy it and it seems more acceptable. Heck, if they have kids they may be watching anime along side them and playing video games right along with them. Nothing wrong with that.

I will say, one of the nice things about being an older fan is that it's a little easier to afford some of the things I want (DVDs, Subscriptions, games, etc.) Much easier than when I was younger

Greetings! I'm 52, been watching since Kimba the White Lion, Hercules and Speed Racer when I was 3.

I went to some of the first Creation Conventions when they were just a few tables at the Roosevelt Hotel in NYC and NOBODY knew the value of collectible cards other than baseball cards.

I was one of the only girls who went to Forbidden Planet when it first opened. I watched Captain Harlock and Romance of the 3 Kingdoms when they broadcast it in the late 70's/early 80's from New Jersey on Public Television on the Japanese program.

I was one of the first people to own Hello Kitty pencils and knew the ambrosia of Japanese grape bubble gum before anyone else did.

I am a huge Xena fan.

It's time to rock and roll - let's go!

Well....I can't really say much since I am only 21....but it does get a little intimidating at times because at my age you're
expected to act more "adult like" and watching animes would be considered childish in most peoples minds...well at least
to those who don't watch it. I only started to watch animes and REALLY get into it a bout 2 years ago. When I was younger
though around 5-6 years old, I was obsessed with Sailormoon. I would have to watch it every day I would sing along to the theme song, I had the dolls (I would kill to still have them.), a backpack, and lunch box. Then as I got a little older I was in love with Kiki's Delivery Service
and I used to watch Dragon Ball Z EVERY night before bed.The funny thing is though..I didn't even know they were "Animes'
I just thought they were Cartoons...Ha ha!

But all in all I could care less what people say or think. It's not like it's harming others in any way, and I can see my self many years ahead still watching and geeking out over it. And even though I have only been into it for a short period of time compared to most, it has had a big in pact
on my life. <3

Hey, I was trying to start a thread and I keep getting bounced to a 404 page. Am I forbidden from starting threads until I've passed a probation period? I know it's like that in a lot of other forums.

I had no idea that people would be so active on this forum. That's a nice change of pace. I've been on some really dead forums in the past few years.

Anyway - what's up? How are you tonight? I'm watching Toonami now (Big O? wtf is this?)

Full metal alchemist is on after that and then Cowboy Bebop. Yes, I have watched Cowboy Bebop when I can stay awake that long. As I remember it's pretty cool.

Hey everyone! I have commented to Crunchyroll forum posts before but I don't think I have ever started a thread here! So. here goes!

I wanted to address something that have been wondering about for a while. How many older anime fans are there on this site? Whenever I look at the posts in the forums, I see a lot of younger people. It's nice to know that anime is becoming popular among the younger demographics. I have been an anime fan since adolescence. I grew up watching Sailor Moon, DBZ, Gundam Wing, etc. Sometimes I feel like of out of place commenting in the forums because of my age. Yes, I'm 29 years old and by mst people's standards I am too old to be watching anime. Anime is a passion of mine and I don't forsee myself giving it up in the near future.

I love this site and the people on it seem like really cool people. I just don't want to feel so lame when I post on the forums. I don't want people thinking "wow, she shouldn't even be on this site. She's ancient." I know it's an exaggeration but I do feel out of place here at times.

Any older anime fans want to chime in? Do you feel like "the old one out" at times?

I'm 29 as well. And most anime fans are surprised I still watch. Though I don't enjoy most series out today. I'm not a jaded fan where I won't try out a series simply because it has some mech on the cover.
