No one is too old for anime, anime is not really for kid.
Anyone who says you are too old to watch this stuff obviously haven't watched a single anime and think of it as a cartoon for kids.
You want to know what's for kids and nobody can deny it "Dora the Explorer" so don't mind that you like anime.
Hell if I have kids or grand-kids, I'll bet I would have a blast with them, especially since I know the feeling of trying to get your parents to watch it, but they are never interested in it.
If I would see you anywhere in real life I'll give you a high five.

Oh wow. I feel really old now. Really, really, really old.

I still hope to live forever cause it's taking so long for some anime to get sub-titled.

So many kids around here. And yes I'm talking about the twenty and thirty something
year olds.

There is nothing wrong with being an amine fan at any age...the first cartoons were never meant for children only...go back and watch Bugs Bunny as an adult and you'll take away some things you'd have never picked up on as a child...likewise most "All Ages" anime has innuendo and subtext meant for an adult's mind...and quite a bit of current anime (not hentai) deals with subject matter more suited to adults...

...I started watching anime on and off out of boredom and for background "noise" while I was studying in college...but the first to capture my attention was Ghost in the Shell (movie) and Evangelion...both of those for the psychological and philosophical contexts...then I was hooked...

The minute you feel "too old" for anime is when you're too old. I don't think I'll ever feel that way. Good to see members here my age and older that feel the same.

I guess I'm old by the standards here, hence why I hardly ever go to these forums.

I didn't even start watching anime until my late teens. I wish that I could have been part of the Robotech generation... I'm sure old enough to, but I didn't start watching until shortly before Cowboy Bebop came out. I was all about Western animation, until I happened to stumble across Iria on the Sci-Fi channel.

I'll turn 60 in March.

I was raised on Disney cartoons and my then teenagers around1995 turned me on to Anime. Up till then I was only aware of Kimba and Astro boy.
But I've made up for lost time consumeing every thing that has come out in animation. Some really bad and so so to the brillant to CG. I'm an addict.

Right now I trying my hand at learning how it's done. I've been drawing on my computer for two years now and hope to compete with you young folks

haha I'm starting to feel like the "young one" after reading a lot of these comments, but I find it really cool that there are so many older people into anime and I'm sure I'll always be into anime myself.

There's where I disagree. It is for kids AS WELL.

There are animes for every age to enjoy.

eh I meant to say "most" anime isn't for kids. I was too lazy to change it.
Personally I've been watching anime since the 80s and I can
say it was aimed at the older audience, anime only became appealing to the
younger audiences as of the last decade or so

Yay! Other old people posting here! Let's see if we can't get Crunchyroll to pick up some older titles! Rose of Versailles and Yawara! should be the top of the list!
