English Dubs are almost never done right, people who end up watching an anime that has bad dub, will miss out on experiencing the full glory of the series. Sometimes in dubs a full sentence can be dumbed down to 2-3 words

so seeing most want dubs maybe expect crunchy's management finally going give in shows lots of dubs anime?

besides it really need to happen to watch dubs in crunchy to expand more especially those who are dub supporters.

Good point! I love what they have done with Code Geass @ CR offering both dub and sub. Just saw that Eureka 7 is also dubbed here at CR.

give some area don't sell or show dub anime besides especially crunchy dubs anime to expand cause not all understand japanese yet more language type to hear it all.

cause crunchy need dub anime in for those cause we want it to happen.

I agree, if anime production houses want to grow they need to expand their market. And let's be honest human beings are a lazy lot as a whole, the majority of people see subtitles and they cannot be bothered to deal with them. Although when you find a really good subbed anime you don't even notice that your reading because the story is so wonderful, but on hindsight you miss the beauty of the animation because your constantly viewing the bottom of the screen for the dialog. The industry is also missing the female 20-35 market by not dubbing, stay at home moms are normally bored to tears and many would love anime but you need to keep your eyes on the kids not viewing dialog. Even for the average anime lover there is homework or paper/computer work that needs to be done. I have been quite surprise by the positive response to dubbing on this poll. I was honestly expecting the antithesis, so I do hope CR administrators do pay attention to what their clients would like. The only real problem they would have though is the limited number of anime that are dubbed. As I've stated before "you would think with all of the venture capital out their that someone would start another anime/dub company" give Funmation some competition to, so that more dubs get done.

No way! Watching dub animes ALWAYSSSSSSSS reminds me of pokemon when I was a kid. I was a pokemon freak back then. It's like the "eighth grade syndrome" that I got from Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!. Instead of creepy stuff like "flame haze" or "wicked eye", IT'S POKEMON! Thinking of it always embarrased me.

if the choice is available, there should be a choice.

they're supposed to let you choose between subbed or dubbed on Netflix Instant, but I haven't seen that feature.

it would be an edge over them (other than not having to take all your shows down at the end of the month)

I don't really care either way, i think dubs have improved in the last decade

I wish they would put some funimation dubs up here. I only see a couple, are they not allowed to?

Personally I prefer the subbed versions of anime, maybe I'm being judgemental but the only time I watch dubbed versions is if it's more convient like Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood: watch on hulu and deal with anoying commercials or watch the dubbed version on netflix without commercials, I go with netflix (of course I watch most of my anime on Crunchyroll)

It would help me a lot. My eyes are bad and by the time the end of the day rolls around I have a lot of trouble reading.

@Boganis

You can watch English dubs on Hulu if you didn't already know.

I'm for it. As long as it's not terrible

I don't really like the sound of Japanese and prefer to have things in my own language if available.

Dubbing is akin to colourising a black and white film, or hacking the sides of a 2.35:1 frame to make it 4:3. If people really want to watch something so heavily modified from the director's original vision, they're free to do so, but if ever content is unavailable in it's original form, then I have a problem.

With a small operation like CR, I'd rather they spent their no doubt limited funds on licensing more content, not paying for actors and studios and editors to (needlessly) replace the soundtracks of anime shows.
