Okay, I've been brewing on this for a while now, so maybe someone can chime in here. How the HELL is Aizen so powerful?

Such as even back when the Pendulum arc was going on, and he didn't even have a working Hyougoku or at least was trying to figure out how to tap it's full power.

Skipping forward a bit... Aizen at base, no shikai or anything, stops Ichigo's Bankai sword with one finger, effortlessly; as well as nearly kills another captain with Kurohitsugi.

So this is to say, Aizen is so powerful, while using no sword releases or visual kidou barriers, can stop a Captain level Soul Reaper's Bankai attack with 1 finger.

Come on.

I hope there's some backstory for Aizen, and how he developed his powers. From what I've seen, Aizen is at least twice as powerful as an average Captain's Bankai, while not even using shikai.

That's insane.

p.s. I'm just going by the anime, maybe the manga said something the anime didn't.

Aizen is a very secretive and clever character. It's typical to have a strong enemy for a hero to fight right? The whole reveal that he was behind practically anything and everything bad shows how long this developed for. The most stupid thing of all is the excuse that only Ichigo could beat him having not seen his blade and blah blah blah. But looking forward to the very recent manga releases the captain commander could have probably beat him with his bankai in the first place. But there wouldn't be much story there, 'ey?

Aye, I get what you're saying, and I've come to the same conclusion. I suppose I'm more or less hoping they give us more of his story later in the series, same with Isshin.

Of course you can't expect everyone to get a backstory dedicated to them, but surely for main characters, or those dramatically affecting the story.

Ya, I wanted to wait before I reply to this post.

I also agree on few things. I was telling an friend of mine. Why did Kubo use Ichigo to fight Aizen, not Chad or Ishida, or Ken Pachi.

I had to wait for the chapters to give me more , before I could respond.

Kubo wanted us focus on Ichigo cause he is 'hero' & Aizen as the 'villian' Ichigo only purpose was to save his friend Orihime Inoue. To me, he had no real 'purpose' in the fight against Aizen vs SS vs Visored. Kubo had Ken pachi to fight in Hueco Mundo cause Ken Pachi may be ' too much' for Aizen & may not be weaken to Aizen powers.

And Aizen had alot of time learning everyone bankai abilities, weakness,to strenghts. Also not to mention. Grandpa is the strongest in SS yet Kubo didn't bring out Grandpa 'full power' cause he may 'blow up' the fake town. Which could defeat the purpose ot protecting the ' Realm of the Living'.

Also Aizen comment that Ichigo is 'special'

Ya, in my head. Kubo wanted to edit things around to kept Bleach ongoing. And kept everyone interest.
