the moment you open the internet, you've already lost lol

Unless I need it on, I try to stay away from my computer whenever I'm focusing/studying something. If you're typing something up, no internet (unless you need it for research)
Play some relaxing music on your MP3 if you have one, do not slouch in your chair, sit up straight, nothing distracting within reach like your cell phone
go to a library maybe if you're not already at one?

hope this somewhat helps

Get enough sleep at night. That's really hard.

Avoid other people like the plague.
Well, actually, if you're just in a public place like a library then that's fine. Just make sure you avoid people you know.
Any type of communication is distracting, but it's especially so when someone is sitting right next to you.

Go to a library without bringing your phone. mp3, laptop etc. Sit next to someone who is studying intensively and you'll feel guilty for daydreaming. Works for me.
