I believe sentencing an inmate to death solves nothing in the end. You can kill the killer, but does that fix the crime he/she committed? Plus, it takes a lot of money to kill these bastards and it is a tedious job to do.

Yes bullets cost soooo much less than prisons... not to mention its a better deterent. Hard labor needs to be reintroduced as well for the ones that don't get a bullet. lol.

The debate has been going on for ages. Personally I don't believe in it..I don't even care about the costs, killing someone that did something wrong is just dumb. Even if that person did horrible things. Maybe that person did or will do very good things too, maybe he is innocent..what worth a life after all?
Like imagine the father of 3 kids with an housewife that kills someone for X reason, the guy threatened his kids or whatever, then society kill this guy..no one wins.

Ha. You think I'm crazy or stupid enough to run for office?

No thanks.

And I am well aware that my opinion is not the popular opinion, nor do I really care. lol.

I don't believe in it. In the first place, it's hypocritical. "You killed some people and that's wrong, so now you get to be killed by the state,"? Come on. How is that logical? Also, it's not much of a punishment, in my opinion. You die, but then what? No body knows for sure if you get what you deserve in the afterlife. If we're gonna bother punishing them now, we might as well make it worth it. Rather than execution, make torture a punishment for capital offenses. Like, daily scheduled shock therapy for someone to massacred people, and so on. Let the bastard feel the weight of human life. Don't just let him escape.

I don't agree with murder wheather it be murder done by the "bad guys" or the "good guys". Especially when they're held captive. Life-punishment is enough, but murdering a captive is just wrong. What part of "Thou shall not kill" is unclear?

i say bring back execution by firing squad
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firing_squad

Some reasons for its use are that firearms are usually readily available and a gunshot to a vital organ usually kills the subject relatively quickly
