I 'unno. I can't see it stretching as far as 25... Maybe. Lets just hope they get a second season. I love what they're doing with it.

Oooh, that's a hard choice. I really like the way Alicization is building up, though GGO definitely has a great story to it.
Lets go SAO final answer, it's the concept that grabbed me and pulled me in.

I think ALO is my least favorite just because how cartoonishly evil Sugurou is.

Have you read/seen Accel World? By the same author, I haven't gotten the chance to read it yet but the animated series is pretty good.

I've watched accel world a while back. Though too bad the English translated novels are behind the anime or else i'd read it. Once the translators get to volume 5 that's when i'll look into it

Mother's Rosario is definitely one of my favorite volumes since it was so touching and that it was from Asuna's point of view. You can probably tell that Asuna is my favorite character in SAO

Mother's Rosario was the one with the terminally ill and medical dive machine right? I personally enjoy Klein as a character. Despite being the back of back characters

Might end up Cosplaying him next year with a friend of mine as Kirito (and he really makes a perfect kirito).

I just like the entire universe the author is painting as a whole, and it made me laugh when they actually had references back to SAO in Accel World.

Yup it's that arc, and it was overall a very touching one because of events X,Y and Z (won't state because i know there are people in this forum who haven't read all of the light novels yet)

I really want to see some SAO cosplays! Good luck making the outfits and swords. All of the upcoming anime conventions will definitely have SAO characters.

There have been some conspiracy theories about Kuroyukihime being related to Kirito but I just think it's the author's style to have characters be alike to each other

Well, there is a spoilers warning in the beginning so it's their own fault I have to agree though, it was a really good arc. Had me tearing up on more than one occasion. (Yea, I'm a man and I don't mind admitting that)

Oh most definitely with the anime out now I can see many cosplays in the upcoming year. I'm not sure what level Klein and such I'd go for. I may just go Novice Klein from the first episode simply for the ease, we'll see what happens once I have the money to actually start planning it out.

There's either beginner Klein/Samura Klein/ then ALO Klein. I was surprised to find out that he's 24 years old, though he acts like a teenager haha.

If I had the time and more ideas in my head, i would totally write a fanfiction about how Klein adapted and survived in SAO.

Also if you haven't claimed or made a character yet for the group, you could choose to be Klein

Naw, when I roleplay I enjoy making my own character. There is also the fact that my personality and Kleins are fairly different If SAO happened I'd be more like Kirito, a solo player who upon invitation will join a guild (likely only to have it bite me in the ass just like it did to Kirito).

Also just realized I totally forgot this in my last reply (and hell girl kept me away long enough for you to reply ;)) but I don't remember who Kuroyukihime is.... that is until I was mid typing this sentence and totally remembered. SAO mindset does not help for triggering memories about Accel sometimes :P

I guess I could see it, though I somehow doubt we'd ever get an answer about it. Better off just thinking it's the authors writing style.

Usually i create my own OC, which is what I've done in the other rp groups i've joined. However I decided to be different this time and choose a canon character. Perhaps rp'ing as Asuna will improve my perspective on her since I am already writing a fanfiction that features her as one of the main characters. If SAO was a real game, I think i would be the type of person to join a guild since I believe surviving depends on finding the right people to rely and trust on.

Kuroyukihime is pretty much the poster character of Accel World XD Nobody knows her real name, which is why there is a lot of speculation on who she might be. Have you read the Accel World and SAO crossover chapter yet? it's a chapter that features Kirito facing off against Silver Crow.

This is a really good year for the Reki Kawahara (writer of accel world and sao) with two of his works got animated and are now really popular. It shows how becoming animated can definitely increase a series' popularity

I haven't read it yet! I have it on my computer waiting to be read, I was just waiting for Accel to finish(and it did.. i've just been lazy). I think I also kinda wanted to read the light novels for Accel too (but I haven't even bothered to look them up yet).

I don't mind playing canon characters, my problem is the same with cosplay. I don't like doing it unless I feel I'm doing the character justice. While yes, I"m sure I could do an acceptable job by many, my own standards get in the way ;).

I also have to agree that joining a dependable group is the right way to survive in a situation like SAO, however I've always been a generally self-reliant person and especially in MMOs where I just don't hunt down groups and guilds. So I become a solo player out of convenience and unless I feel the need for a group(as in I literally cannot progress) I don't get one.

You haven't watched the entire first season of Accel World yet? The first season covers 4 volumes, so i'm waiting until the translators work on volume 5. All of the LN can be found on the website called baka tsuki

I definitely agree on the fact that choosing to be a canon character means acting like them properly. I"ve never actually cosplayed before, which is something i want to do before i go too old XD Any person who makes their cosplay from scratch for sure has my respect.

Right now in the group most of the characters are solo'ing and partying up every now and then to go through the dungeon or face against the boss, so i get what you mean by only partying up when necessary

I had stopped after the ALO arc for a bit. I've started to read the GGO arc now and I'm loving it! I seriously think anybody who enjoys SAO should read the novels. It may be a taxing thing to look for them and keep updated, but the stories are so great. in Vol. 6 and eager to ride this out til the end.

I agree with you man, GGO is probably my most favourite arc, then SAO. Shino just grew onto me so quickly

Although I stopped myself after GGO to not spoil myself any further, I will start reading again after ALO ends

the translation are guessing that the current arc is not ending soon, if they think about the content he had on the net before publishing SAO
they're guessing 4 to 6 more novels just to cover the current arc.
the 11th volume is being translated by baka-tsuki again, for which i am grateful.

Translating can be a pain in the ass (I know that now because i am working with two others to translate SAO into dutch)
