I'd be a traveling healer.
Because that's always what I do in all MMOS.
I like ppl and I like to help most ppl I can.
I like to make ppl smile and protect those i care about.

I'm not sure, in WoW I was the main healer in the top guild on the server.
So, probably stick with that, something I know in a large guild

Keep full friend list instead of guild.

I'd do a bit of crafting , merchanting, and palling around in parties/groups of friends.

Id probably solo it. Splitting the exp is no fun. Trying to find someone to team up with that I like is even harder. Id probably get bored of fighting eventually and just make a lot of fun stuff and do the lesser skills haha.

All of the above. Join, or start a Guild (while remaining picky about who I formed static teams with.)

P.U.G,S, only in situations I knew I could solo, and thus avoid being killed in a newbie rush party wipe. These PUGs are a good way to find Static team members worth keeping on my friends list.

Solo, to build up my skill set, learn new tactics, and farm resources. Plus as a Beast Tamer I'd need to take the time to find, and level up my Familiar. Teams tend not to have the patience for that.

FYI; PUG = (Pick up group,) a Random team that forms to complete a task.

While a Static Group = a regular team that often works together. and thus works like a well oiled machine.

A good team can clear a dungeon run faster then the Devs can say. Nerf! Nerf! Nerf!

Solo Player. Guilds command you where to go and what to do, or they put you in situations where you might die. As a Solo Player you could hang out in low level areas as long as you want or press your leveling as safely as you want. I've already expressed my view that the virtual world is better than the real one, so I wouldn't be pushing the content that requires guild sized raids for. Meaning I could easily reach the mid seventy levels alone, given enough time.

I am Katomer. As a beginning player of SAO, I have just joined after having such bad connection problems that I stopped midway through loading SAO. Falling into a deep sleep, I wake up one day to find myself in the beginning city. There's nobody except the sleeping veteran and the npc's around. Kaito has to be a solo player who has just embarked his journey in SAO.

Learn all of the basics, then level to the point that i hav to leave my guild behind. Then solo the front lines in a quest to find love and settle down with the woman of my dreams. My name would be Xander, my character missed the meeting about fighting the boss, and joined a random group after getting the details of the meeting. After the boss fight i developed my tiny group into a leading guild, eventually there is an internal power struggle between me and my founding partner and close friend. We go our separate ways leaving the guild torn between staying with one of the two guilds created from the split, or leave. My friend and i reconcile months after, but never repaire our lost guild due to the opinions of each guilds members. After the game is cleared i never really return from that would. I miss it. It was my life. I become bitter but when i discover the World Seed and see Aincrad is back i soften, become my old self, and return to that world. I live the rest of my life happier than ever and die happy with my wife from the game.

That or learn the basics level to the point of overpowering the first ten floor bosses and solo the rest of the time
