Ecchi isn't a bad thing, It's how they use it that determines its quality.

For example, Ikkitousen promises fighting and tits. They got the tits part down, but the fight scenes suck ass. On top of that, the fanservice itself is terribly executed and always getting in the way of things making a terrible show even worse.

Another example is Strike Witches. Strike Witches is packed with fanservice. Panty shots, lolicon nudity, implied yuri, you name it. But what makes the show appealing to someone like me who doesn't like that sort of stuff? Well there's the world building, character development, the action scenes, the animation, the real life weaponry, the OST, the set pieces that put most mainstream anime to shame, I could go on forever.

Basically, Ikkitousen's fanservice ruins an already godawful show even more while the fanservice in Strike Witches never gets in the way of what makes the show good. But even if you did come for the T&A, Strike Witches has got you covered

I think a better example of T&A with a great story would be Witchblade rather than Strike Witches.

The glut of loli, moe, ecchi, harem, and romantic comedies is one of the many things that turned me away from anime. That shit has oversaturated the market.

"Uniquely imaginative" no longer applies to most new anime. All we get is the latest mediocre panty flash/jiggly tit fest which is straight up inoperable third stage colon cancer to the industry.

Not just the ecchi, turborobo. A lot of NON-ECCHI shows that have recently aired haven't caught my eye because they seemed like rehashes of older series. Say "I love you"? I already watched it back when it was still called His & Her Circumstances!

I never said Strike Witches had a good story. I said it was a good show but the plot is just a bunch of anime cliches stuck together

No plot, cookie-cutter characters, shounen like development if any at all (friendship, power of love, stuff like that), useless main male leads, even strong female characters miraculously can't do anything once their "boyfriend" shows up, seriousness of story ruined by exposed underwear/breasts. I could go on but as we all know they're only made for money so I guess they do their job in the end.

Hmm, I see. Well in the department of T&A and also being a good show Witchblade is a nice example.

So why do we hate loli's?

do we hate loli's in general or the loli's that have the love interest?

Why hate or complain about loli? It's an ANIME not real life...it's fantasy, so let your mind run free. Anime can go beyond the limits, ecchi included. I'd love to go to Japan and everyone have G cups, but that isn't going to happen.
