I do agree with you.. but if that's the case, don't you think that loli should have its own tag by now? since it's too big of a thing these days

Generally only the slapstick or harem comedic elements are what entertain me with ecchi and the like.
I don't watch anime to stare at the characters, I generally watch it for the comedic or deep stories.
There are exceptions which don't always fit either entirely like: FLCL, Excel Saga, Azumanga Daioh,
Haiyore! Nyaruko-san, etc.

Regarding two members' tangents about Oda Nobuna no Yabou...I believe there will be a season two, it's an inkling.
The ending of the 13th episode was wayyyyyy too foreshadowing not to have SOMETHING on the horizon.

i was around 16 or so when i discovered online streaming anime sites and got hooked.. but also over time started to get tired of all the ecchi and loli that started takin over the anime world.. every new anime has it nowadays .. and it led me to just start loosing interest in anime all together.. heck once i finished watchin pretty much every Yuri/Shoujo-ai anime i could find i was practically done with anime .. i keep tryin to go back to it but all the loli and ecchi is keepin me away now..

If you're finding only ecchi and loli anime you are searching up the wrong genre so I say. A friend of mine only watches shounen anime like Hajime no Ippo and others with more sport or fighting elements because she got tired of the loli and ecchi. Another way is to try yuri, yoai, shoujo ai, and shounen ai because its rare to hit on the loli ecchi unless your really looking for it.

If it's an anime that's really funny or very intense, a little ecchi won't make a differense.

It's those anime that are built AROUND the ecchi that get old fast.

He's right. Loli and Shota aren't ecchi/hentai, but CAN be. There are so many Loli and Shota anime these days that have nothing ecchi/hentai about them, I'd say over 75% don't.

but on a serious note, if im gonna watch some over the top ecchi show, ikki tousen and the like, i have to be in the right mood, if im not i generally dont like it because the stories are GENERALLY crap.

but on the flip side i hate shows that go out of their way to censor and hide 'ecchi' stuff. I mean if its a fight scene, and a girls in a skirt, it makes sense thered be a panty shot, cuz there would be IRL. but when they just make it look like a black hole ( my sister is among them) its annoying, and if they just start drawing randombars of color, or no color, to hide its annoying because at that point they should just not have drawn it to were you would see anything, just change the angle.....
