Why, of course they are! In the same way that FPS games encourage people to be murderers or fighting games encourage kids to beat each other up. (sarcasm)

Don't confuse fantasy and real life - it exists in such a way in fantasy BECAUSE it's morally abhorrent in the real world. Morals don't apply the same when these girls don't really exist. Personally, when it comes to anime, I'm a huge lolicon. But I'm NOT a pedophile, and being compared to one is a little bit offensive; It's not the same thing, and it's not to "encourage" anything. It's just cute.

Sometimes I will ignore it if I don't like it that much, but I'm usually okay with it. It's a natural thing in anime in these past decades.

On no don't get me wrong. I'm not calling anyone whom likes loli a pedo, I'm questioning why a creator would choose to go with that
character look. I my self never saw the point in it (tho I know some people do like it) myself.

Trust me, I do not confuse fantasy and real life and I know every anime and video game will have a few select morals (some times none at all) that it chooses to go by (e.x. Trigun not killing people, OnePiece friendship, Faruba love and understanding, X1999 and nothing). Games like FPS and fighting games derive off of people primal instinct to kill and win. Based off of hundreds of years of people hunting and or going to war. Even tho I most agree I think FPS encourage for more bad then good (if there is a good), I at least understand its origin and selling point.

I'm not trying to bash Loli, I simply do not understand it, or its appeal. The only thing I can think of that a creator might go for in this approach is to sexualize something (Then again maybe that makes ME a pedo to see it in this way, lol) to make you watch( In this way getting your attention through a persons perverse needs). If you're a Loli fan maybe this is a good time to say what it is that you like about it. There is most likely something here I am missing, something in it I haven't seen myself. When it comes to Loli I am afraid I am ignorant. Tell me, what do you like and dislike about it? How dose it appeal to you? Maybe there's a really good Loli anime out there that speaks for its self. If so I'd love to hear about it....

Well I don't hate loli, i don't like it that is true and I most certainly don't understand it.

I haven't seen any loli anime yet, so I really can't comment on them. But as for ecchi, or fanservice in general, if it helps the storyline, then I don't have a problem with it. But fanserve for the sake of fanserve gets really boring really fast. I point to Divergence Eve as an example. I saw two episodes of this one and gave up. Nothing but boob physics and very little story development. But on the other side I refer you to Vandread. Fanservice out the wazoo, but built a great story.
