It was implied else why bring it up in the first place rather than just enjoy the story? As far as your question goes whatever the story dictates for it to go it will go though. Read through the comment pages and possibly this thread (I haven't read all the posts here so I don't know for sure) to see why I get agitated in this regard.

You've got a few brain cells missing if you think I'm an 'SAO-ho' , assuming this is to mean overly pro-SAO, as there are those out there far far far more worthy than me. I just call people out for double standards so in a sense I'm a proud: manga-ho/anime-ho/film-ho/music-ho.


I wouldn't know since I could care less. I like what I like regardless of what anyone else says. Though last I checked in certain areas I'm still in the majority.

Unfortunately any anime/manga/etc fan should care since these people are the ones that are the loudest. Last I checked I wasn't in medieval times and didn't need or carry a 'shield'.

Yen is not as good as it has been but is getting more favorable. Shipping thousands of kilometers is not cheap, nope. Buying one thing is more expensive than buying several as there is a base cost and then cost per item weight. It is cheaper to do big orders occasionally but I am often impatient... And order things to be shipped as early as possible.



As explained in the show itself if you watched episode four... Not really connected to homosexuality at all, just they needed to make all people very friendly towards one another so they wouldn't splat each other to death with their telekinesis power. Bonono genes were genetically engineered into the human genome. They had to add the shame of death as well. That still wasn't enough to combat ogres and karmic daemons so they needed the cats etc. to combat the people who go bad, fox in henhouse syndrome and those who leak psionic energy since the shame of death makes good, sane people defenseless against bad or sick people who lose control and or lose the shame of death. Watch the show over and over if necessary and listen or read very carefully as it is all explained gradually throughout the story!

Unfortunately some people couldn't do the mental calculation and went into 'errmagod they can't do that' mode. Anyway back to waiting for new episodes and new chapters

It is a complex show. You can get lost if you don't follow along very carefully. I just watched episode one again for the fifth or sixth time this morning (poor Reiko ) and it is neat because you see more and more foreshadowing that you missed initially, or I do anyways. The novels are great too; I am not reading the manga adaptation.

I am not sure why people find that shocking today but if you do find it shocking and did not follow the show closely then it may be the only thing you remember. On MAL there was a huuuuge thread about dropping the show after episode eight aired...

I find it an interesting story to be sure. Though it does cause a philosophical rift within me I like both anime and manga since they differ in some ordering but watching both gives me a higher sense of whats going on. I like the idea that in a future society certain things are no longer seen as a big deal.


I think that at first it was kinda like entering puberty at first and having the horomones surging through, then over time it gradually faded to being a casual thing. In regards to everyone having relationships during episode 8. At least this is how I think of it.

I agree. Sorry, I had edited my post after you replied to say in addition that I find it surprising that people are still shocked by it today, let alone the idea that it might still be shocking to people in 1000 years.

Remnants of an old guard I guess In a certain way its rather funny to think people have no issue with thinking we'll have laser rifles but not have a different way of thinking of sexuality. I don't know why but this just makes me laugh
