Click to show or hide As explained in the show itself if you watched episode four... Not really connected to homosexuality at all, just they needed to make all people very friendly towards one another so they wouldn't splat each other to death with their telekinesis power. Bonono genes were genetically engineered into the human genome. They had to add the shame of death as well. That still wasn't enough to combat ogres and karmic daemons so they needed the cats etc. to combat the people who go bad, fox in henhouse syndrome and those who leak psionic energy since the shame of death makes good, sane people defenseless against bad or sick people who lose control and or lose the shame of death. Watch the show over and over if necessary and listen or read very carefully as it is all explained gradually throughout the story! Unfortunately some people couldn't do the mental calculation and went into 'errmagod they can't do that' mode. Anyway back to waiting for new episodes and new chapters It is a complex show. You can get lost if you don't follow along very carefully. I just watched episode one again for the fifth or sixth time this morning (poor Reiko ) and it is neat because you see more and more foreshadowing that you missed initially, or I do anyways. The novels are great too; I am not reading the manga adaptation. I find it an interesting story to be sure. Though it does cause a philosophical rift within me I like both anime and manga since they differ in some ordering but watching both gives me a higher sense of whats going on. I like the idea that in a future society certain things are no longer seen as a big deal.I agree. Sorry, I had edited my post after you replied to say in addition that I find it surprising that people are still shocked by it today, let alonenthe idea that it might still be shocking to people in 1000 years. Remnants of an old guard I guess In a certain way its rather funny to think people have no issue with thinking we'll have laser rifles but not have a different way of thinking of sexuality. I don't know why but this just makes me laugh Old guard? I am the middle aged guard. Those with problems seem to be less than half my age |

@hpulley
The Fate/Zero BD had extra unaired scenes in it. Not as a side extra feature like in Hollywood movie discs but in the episodes themselves. |

Saw ep 13. The cat sounded freaky. Decided to listen to that part again for the thrills. Got a cold shiver up my spine. Got too scared to keep listening after a few seconds. How the heck did they make that sound?
This is why you shouldn't watch anime late at night. |

I will only admit to being limited in verticality

Episode 14 Dat interrogation. Oh, all the drama this episode. Not much action but sure a lot of dialogues. Time to bring back the others next time. Anyways, nice to see this series resume after last week's break. |

I actually thought something like Tomiko's revelation would be true. I mean
Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide She said she survived both an ogre and a Karmic daemon yet it was stated that there hasnt been a karmic daemon for 200 years (by the minoshiro), and it'd be pretty tough to cover up an entire town getting owned by an ogre within the last 60 years. Additionally in the flashback the buildings and clothes looked completely different It's starting to ramp the pressure back up though, I just hope that they dont Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Own another character I like (Shun), just kill that worthless kid off and be done with him! Additionally, questions? Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide The scene where saki and maria were lying in bed naked together saying good bye, is that something that actually happened or just a fantasy? I'd guess it's real since they were together for ages in previous episodes, but then why dont you see any gay adult couples? |

Last one: because they aren't being gay. This is 1000 years in the future. There is no such thing as gay or straight, just love like bonobos.

Yeah, that was explained in that uncomfortable episode where they were same sexing each other. They explained it as love like bonobos, unbiased love or love as they can get it, some got with the opposite sex the others (I guess) found it easier with the same sex. Saki loved Shun completely, but she just couldn't say no to Maria. I have no idea why, but there you are.

I gots internet, YAY!

Yea, but that still doesnt explain why you see no adults acting like that. Is it just a temporary thing to control them whilst they're kids?

For reproduction it makes no sense as adults. The entire population of Japan is 50000-60000 people! They kill all the ogres and demons so there aren't many people left. They need to keep having kids until they get goldilocks kids with control, good control. |

They can say no though its in their genes to resort to sex, or sexual interactions not per se sex, rather than violent urges or anything stressful. As far as the changes, imo, its like puberty. Early teens the horomones are surging and you essentially have maximum sex push, then as you age the horomones decrease or the mind gets use to them and you don't have as strong an urge as the early teens. |
