ep 15
yeah I can see a possible future conflict with the monster rat colonies seeking their "freedom" from the "gods" power corrupts as the monster rats are definitely on the same path as that of past humans |

Click to show or hide Shun Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Shuns problem wasnt a lack of control over his power, it was that he couldnt stop his subconscious from leaking power out. Though how that resulted in the weird mask I dunno Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide I'm guessing the mask may have some way for him to distance Saki from him but I don't really get it myself and it wasn't too big of a deal in the manga so wasn't really elaborated on. Well even without Shun as an example the basic premise is still there. Rofl at the amount of spoiler tags Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide I always assumed the mask was just a ritualistic thing. I think they even mention them in the novel, a festival involving karmic demons which they wore masks. I might just be reading to far into that, though. More spoiler tags! |

To be honest anything at this point is probably a 'best guess' This anime has a ton of information to absorb and sometimes will take multiple watches, I'm still trying to piece some things together . Don't think it counts as 'spoiler' but still putting the tags :Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide And being a ritualistic thing may fit if you consider their culture and thinking but meh who knows. |

Loving this series so far. I think these Monster Rats are going to be real trouble in the future. They represent everything that was wrong with their past, and our present, humanity. We've already seen them occasionally reluctant to follow orders from the "Gods", this will only increase. Very excited about this show, it's completely different to anything I've seen before.

Episode 16 That narrative was deep from Saki this episode. Well, Saki's nightmare was also a bit disturbing to look @ imo. Cool episode. |

Been really not as interested in this since they offed Shun. While it is somewhat interesting in its storyline, I'm having a hard time watching this and not thinking anything other than I like the ending theme. Something is missing.

Why have so many people been assuming that song in the beginning was an OP? It's probably just an insert song for this episode, not an OP.
I enjoyed this one, but it felt a little rushed at points. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Namely, the scene between Saki and Satoru. I'm not expecting any sex in this anime adaption, nor am I really asking for it, but they could have at least had something to make things more clear. The scene is pretty important, and dancing around character relationships seems silly. The nightmare was pretty intriguing, though. |

Interesting episode, I wonder if:
Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Saki and satoru being together (Im not convinced they had sex) was a result of the bonobo conditioning or of actual love, Im tempted to think the former based on how saki was stressed and satoru is clearly in love with her anyway (unlikely to say no) |

People who read the novel confirmed they had sex.
Also, Saki obviously love Satoru, but is she IN love with him? Now that's a different question. |

Ep 16
amazing as always, now with a glimpse into Saki's and Maria's relationship from their past For some reason, the way I see it, I don't think Saki "loves" Satoru in the romantic sense Shun is perhaps her first "love" since he was probably the person with the biggest impact on her life thus far (even if she forgot him) Saki loves Maria since Maria is an important person in her life (since they were young they have always been together) and she probably sees Maria as someone she can depend on for emotional support and to always be there for her Now all of these elements have been removed from play Satoru is the final remnant of the group that is still with her. Of her happy memories, Satoru is the only person left that can fill the void and she probably is afraid of losing him as well, the only "important" person left to her so its that kind of love I could have worded this better but to me this makes some sense to me lol I can't wait for ep 17 Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide that time skip yo! |

I know the shows that are shown late here and I have learned the hard way to stay out of those threads until after I've seen the show here this week. Repeat after me, wait until Tuesday to go into the Shinsekai Yori thread... wait until Tuesday... Good episode. Actually more like the novel with the narrative as the novel starts out with one. After the yuri and yaoi tongue play scenes that shocked many in earlier episodes they really only implied things today which is kind of funny but OK |

Click to show or hide I've always seen Satoru and Saki as being more friends than actual lovers (especially prior to the timeskip), but yes they did have sex and they didn't really do it out of love either, I don't think. At this current point, though, they both make it pretty clear they aren't in love with each other, so much as they are with Shun. I'm not sure if I could say the anime made that nearly as clear as it could have. |
