Glad to see Shun is sorta back in the fold. I'm still somewhat miffed at this anime just from earlier in the first 10 episodes when Satoru & Saki get separated from Shun and the others they were in some kind of cage and they were getting real physical almost caving in to their desires made me think Shun probably would have been broken or mb that's just how I felt by watching it LOL! Anyway, I'm still watching this anime but I'm still disappointed how Shun was taken out so early. Now, I don't know what to make of what will happen after this episode but I'm still curious albeit semi-disappointed still.

I know the shows that are shown late here and I have learned the hard way to stay out of those threads until after I've seen the show here this week. Repeat after me, wait until Tuesday to go into the Shinsekai Yori thread... wait until Tuesday...

Good episode. Actually more like the novel with the narrative as the novel starts out with one.

After the yuri and yaoi tongue play scenes that shocked many in earlier episodes they really only implied things today which is kind of funny but OK :)

Happens with pet girl too, its a shame. Piracy is a service problem, if you provide a slower, more expensive and not specifically better service then people are never going to want to pay for it. The legitimate sources need to get their versions out before the pirates can or you're never going to bring down the piracy rates. Its been seen time after time with video games, I dont know why anime cant see this fact.

As for the yuri/yaoi, I'm really not a fan of it tbh (not the general gay part, just the way its often handled) so I pretty much just ignored it.

I know, he was by far any away the most interesting character to me. I really think that he'll come 'back' in some way or other (most likely psychological) and have a big impact on how things are playing out

I don't think either of those are necessary to clarify the characters feelings for each other. I really think they just needed more interactions between the characters, but it's a bit late for that now. Time to wait and see where they go from here, as you said.
Also, nine episodes seems like more than enough time to wrap up. For as well as they've been doing, it'd be shameful if it fell into the trap of having the same ambiguous or inconclusive endings anime adaptions seem to be prone to.

It seems to be in fashion at the moment to give anime very vague endings in the hopes of getting a second season to finish it up properly. I dunno, the character interactions have an added layer of complexity in as much as what is part of any pre programming/brainwashing/committee planned and what isn't. That said I doubt this is the last we'll see of the love thing...

The original novel is complete, was done years ago so I expect a proper ending for this anime. No second season is needed.

Like Hpulley said, there's no need for a second season when the source material is finished. But I still could seem them giving an ambiguous ending, because it markets the novel. People buy the source material to get all the little details and such, but this adaption has been well enough I hope they don't bother going down that route.

I think there will be enough time to wrap up properly. From what has been said this is 3 novels long and we are on the third with 9 episodes to go. I think they have left just enough time to fit it all in. The show doesn't really mess around (even with an opening) and makes use of the time it has.

It's currently still Japanese only. There's a few fantranslations of the first chapters floating around, but that's it as far as I'm aware.

I just want to ask, I'm on the 3 episode and I'm so confused about what the hell is going on is this normal? The only thing that seems important that I've caught on to

The show seems like it'd be great but I'm confused so far.

Ok, so the emperor thing is explained slightly later, as are the cats.

Minor spoilers on the emperor thing.

Basically stick with it, unlike Evangelion you do actually get fairly concrete answers.

I don't think Saki and Satoru ended up together just because they are the only ones lest...

I think that even if Maria would have stayed Saki still would have ended up with Satoru.

I mean it was pretty obvious Maria never stood a chance. I don't think Saki sees her as more than just a friend.

And in the end Maria also choose to be with someone else, Mamoru.

Hello,

This story is so goooood! Anime art could be better, unfortunately. I am positive the anime only is just the tip of the iceberg, to the complexity and depth of this story, so
SOME BODY PLEASE TRANSLATE THESE NOVELS!!! I MUST READ THEM!!!!
Please if any one knows if these novels are being fully translated or can be translated (with the exception of the manga, which is
a mockery) please contact me and let me know on my Crunchyroll E mail or facebook page .
Thank you.

Anything can be translated... I would love to do it but it takes time... it is much faster to just read in your head, stopping and writing really slows you down. Translating a manga and summarizing it takes me 3 hours and novels have soooo many more words... and the author would hate me and I wouldn't want that... It is a very good book though. Hopefully it gets properly licensed soon by Yen press or someone.
