This anime is so confusing, I've been watching every episode since it's premier but I'm still confused about the plot and whats going to happen in the end. Hopefully when the season ends everything will make sense

I think it makes perfect sense.
Everything has been leading this this point. I'm fairly certain the Ogre is... Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Maria & Shu's son. I think Squera/Yakomaru may have killed off Maria & Shu and then raised the boy to hate humans. With none of the conditioning that the regular human society has had, the child easily became an Ogre that can be "controlled" by Yakomaru. With a weapon like this, of course Yakomaru will attack. He knows he can win with an Ogre. One thing that Asahina Tomiko said was that Saki & her group were allowed to think for themselves. It makes me wonder if she and Satoru have not been conditioned against killing, unlike the rest of her village. I guess we'll find out soon enough. The battle will be how to fight and contain the Ogre. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide It's possible that the child knows of Saki & Satoru. We'll see if that is true and/or matters. |

Oh, poor Atlas. The world's a beast of a burden...

They... took down the part on the boat where Saki tells Satoru that *she loves him*.
Are you FUCKING KIDDING ME! This was supposed to be the part were Saki confess to Satoru that she's in love with him. Maybe they've just moved it and we'll still see it later? I hope so... |

WOW that would be awesome. Can't wait for the last few eps, going to be epic! Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide That would be a scary combo, the flame red hair and the primal fear of humans/cats. Though I don't think we've seen the end of shun though. It'd be sad if those three died leaving saki and satoru but it'd make it far more interesting where they'll go. |

Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide I'm really doubtful they're going to go beyond friendship when it comes to Satoru/Saki in the anime at this point, if they even try now the relationship will come off as forced and out of place. For the anime, it's much better if they keep it friendship due to the lack of development and avoid any love confessions. |

Is it wrong to think Shun will have some sort of impact before the end? Anyone remember when Saki was having the dream when she was asleep next to Satoru and she talks about the boy without a face said "Maria should have been killed." Plus, the older woman who wants Saki to lead the village told her later in her life she will be allowed to remember the boy without the face (Shun). I mean, they both confessed their love (Saki and Shun) before Saki went away. I would find it disappointing that this series might end with Shun having no impact whether it be dream or something he left behind for Saki.

I really don't know how this story will end. At least I know what kind of fingerpointing at society was intended.
@AnimeKami: I think she looks better than before - just a bit more stylish clothes she needs to wear |

This show has easily been the best I've seen these past two seasons. It really makes you think about how easily society can fall apart if people just decide not to follow rules and conform. The arrogance of the villagers in this really is blatant too. I can't wait to see how this ends. I'm assuming Saki lives, but what kind of world will she be living in now?

I'm assuming the older narrating voice is Saki in the future so she probably survives, the only question is once she survives this and society comes together again if she will change things or keep them as they are.

Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Another good episode, finally glad to see Shun mentioned (of course not by name) and as a reason for Saki to want to live. I'm very curious what will happen after the boss lady passes the reins to Saki and tells her to leave. Seems like Maria still has something to do with what's going on if I had to guess. |

I wonder, has tomiko told saki how to use that trick of hers yet?

I see this episode had some more ~QUALITY~ animation. It's really a tad upsetting how frequent poor animation in this show is, considering how stylish and visually pleasing other episodes are. It's also really jarring seeing Saki still looking like a somewhat taller version of her 12 year old self despite being an adult, really wish they'd make these characters look older;;
Other than that, this was sort of a dull episode. Haven't been impressed with the passed few episodes, so I do hope the next one is at least a little more interesting. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide If anything, Saki's "I want to live" scene was really well done. The only thing to stick out this episode for me. Also, am I the only one mildly sad to see no one caring about Mamoru? I loved Mamoru, why is he so unimportant. ;o; |

Admittedly I'm several episodes behind on this but Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Is there a possibility that given what they did their queen, they did the same to Maria? And that the "Maria should have died" refers to that? |

I must say that I almost gave up on this anime b/c it seemed like the writers were just making stuff up as they went along. I had no idea where they were going or what was going on at times with balloon dogs and false minoshinos or whatever you call it. But this last one I saw, when they find out what the monster rat's secret was, was the most coherent, intense, awesome episode. I hope the next doesn't disappoint. The previous episode was just a tease but it was good. This one felt a little more solid and i haven't seen the latest so I hope it doesn't disappoint.
Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide When Saki and Satorou were lying down in the boat at the end I felt myself holding my breath. I was on edge before they even went in the hospital. I was scared the whole time and it was awesome! I loved how they lit up those monster rats in the field but knew the big mouth guy was going to bite it. Whenever you talk like that you die. Anyway, I'm rooting for those two |
