Slightly disappointing episode - felt like a very strange tangent. Instead of emperors and Boy A we got talking rats :-P

Ep 5 things really escalated, in a number of different ways lol
Bonobos Gonna need some clarification for what happened at the end of ep 5 though Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Anyone know what Satoru stabbed in the end? Was it a fake sky or something in the tunnels? And was it collapsing in the end on Saki? |

Haha Bonobos - it brings be back to my philosophy lecture where they made us watch documentaries on them. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide As for Satoru, I think he may have stabbed the Queen, wild guess though. When I saw the scene with Satoru & Saki, I was like 'omg they're too young to be doing this' :l |

Episode 5
I know there is only 1 novel of this title ., But I am really confused in the direction of the story .I guess it want show how the children realize the reality of their world . I figure there will be a time skip when the kids will be 14 becaue they are currently 12 and there are male seiyuu listed when they turn 14. The anime is going to be 25 episodes total also , so we are only pretty early in the story? |

There might have been just one volume initially but now there are three novels, the first, middle and last part. Each one is about 450 pages so as one book it would be huge unless the page size is larger. However, there is just one shared table of contents so it really is one long book I guess. A picture of the three with their anime slip covers: |

Its possible they redid the publishing of the book ...and the author is also making a manga version as well. anyway , there is indeed a time skip . i wish i can read the books |

The animation in this episode was a bit too artsy for my tastes.
I can't, however, complain about the content. story-wise this was the best episode so far. |

Seems pretty interesting so far, the art seemed a bit different than the rest of the episodes though

The manga version sounds different. Volume two of it comes out in December, quite a short cycle. |

I really like this show. The story is very interesting. I just wish they would do without the "child-pornyish" bits. I don't think that is a necessary element.

Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide He died. Got blown to bits by the Balloon Dog. Not trying to hurt your feelings, but I thought that was made extremely obvious with the blood splatter, the giant crater where the monk was standing, the monk's mask bouncing on the ground, and all the spiral blades that came out of the dog. |
