Is my Avatar Inappropriate?
Posted 9/26/12
Hello guys, I have been using this avatar for over 10 months and a moderator has warned me for using an inappropriate avatar just today. I don't see what's the problem. My avatar isn't too long and also it does not have any adult material. People thinks it's very offensive. That all depends on how your seeing it. Some people thinks it's an arm and others might think different. I made this avatar just for the fun of it and now I removed it because a moderator asked me to it.

anyway heres a screenshot of the moderator

I'd avoid messing with the CR Mods even if you feel justified. Just change it to something else, no big deal.

I'm not sure I'm following, here. You had an avatar removed and you want us to judge it?

I don't know what it looks like (either because it's gone, or I don't know how to crunchyroll), but it seems like you're saying it was an arm with an illusion to... you know... something.

O sorry my avatar looks like this. Ill show post it

Considering that for the illusion to work, it would have to be what it looks like, I can understand their decision.

Edit: to reiterate, the joke is that someone's ass (pardon the word, if that's how this site is ) looks like the torso of someone, correct? That's the same as having your profile picture as someone's... yeah. the ass isn't the illusion, it's the body. (That's a gravestone worthy quote, eh?)

That really depends on how your seeing it. And she might be offended because she sees something in it. By the way, the moderator is a girl so that might be something out there

http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-406095/cr-siteforum-rules-updated-2011-07-03

Your avatar:
- must not contain nude or offensive images.
- can't be any larger than 500 pixels in length and 200 pixels in width.
- may not be taken/stolen from another user.

If any of those are not followed, a staff member will remove it if reported to them or if they happen to see it.

Even if it does look like part of an obese arm, it's still a butt. And CR site rules state (shown above) that your avatar must not contain any nude or offensive images - which your avatar fell into.

Also please refrain from creating these kinds of threads in the forums. If a mod asks you to remove/change an inappropriate avatar, just do it.

Hello Yun-Seong. Crunchyroll has a rather large community, and sometimes the only reason we discover something that breaks the rules is when a user reports it.

Today such a user saw your avatar and reported it, a moderator saw the report and did the right thing. I noticed you mentioned that maybe it had something to do with the moderator's gender, and that's a bit laughable.

For future reference; if you feel inclined on disputing a moderator's decision I would suggest talking with the moderator who warned you, alternatively contact another moderator. These are better options than posting a personal message on the forum and complaining in public about a moderator's decision.

If you ever feel like a moderator might have made the wrong decision, please read over the rules to make sure first.

I see Nyarth covered the rest, so I'll just stop here.

Have a nice day. : )
