The App is easy to fix on the PS3, as when it quits working, I just turn off my PS3 then turn it back on.

Xbox's media apps take a lot longer to get into, if you have to reboot the system it also takes a while more than with a PS3.

However, I use my xbox more for games and dvds, and only play exclusive games on the PS3, and have just recently been using it for the App.

But having the App on both systems would be nice since there are people who only have one system, and not both.

You have to be a gold member on Xbox live right? No thank you, I'll use Sony's app.

lol for $50 a year? Trust me, it's worth it. I know I'm probably gonna sound like a fanboy right now but I'm really not. I always watch Netflix on my 360, I tried it on PS3 and the difference was like night and day. The video quality, the speed/performance of the app and just how easy it was to use, it's just better on xbox. Even Youtube is better on xbox, so I'm thinking that CR is going to be better on xbox too.

Hate to burst your fanboy bubble, but unless Microsoft themselves are helping with the app, things will most likely be a buggy mess to begin with. Unless they actually just port the app to the 360, in which case all the flaws of that version will likely come with it.

Also both the tech and personal experience shows me you are lying about the Netflix app, while yes it does work better on one system, the difference isn't that big. As for what system it works better on, that is being the PS3. Not surprising since if you look at the tech the PS3 compared to the 360, you will see the that PS3's tech is better suited for streaming video.

lol I'll admit, after reading your post I went back and compared the two. The PS3 version does load faster, video quality is pretty much the same imo and they both support 1080p video streaming. Your right, the difference between the two isn't as BIG as I made it look in my last post and it really comes down to personal preference. When I made that post earlier I was going off of what I experienced while I was watching Breaking Bad. I wasn't lying about anything, my experience at that time was better on 360. Like I said above, it comes down to personal preference and I still prefer to watch Netflix on my 360 mainly because of the Kinect features.

Anyway, I don't want to start a flame war, so back to what this thread is really about. I'm glad CR is coming to 360, I'm looking forward to it and can't wait to try it out

It is but it isn't. Its a discussion about a app that was released on a hardware system. A computer is a hardware system. Through the pages of comments there are those saying ps3 this xbox that im just saying that the official website on a custom computer with idk several monitors would be way better then a laggy xbox 360.

As far as actual streaming goes, even a fairly low spec, lower power box (i.e, Roku) can stream 1080p with no problem if it has the right hardware. Where CPU, RAM, and storage really come into play is the interface that allows you to access that video.

I rather you guys spent your efforts on fixing and improving the PS3 app.

If you owned an XBOX 360 but not a PS3 you might feel differently.

From a selfish standpoint, I would rather they spend more time on getting HD on the Roku (as I don't own either console), but I also know that these moves will bring in more premium members, which should translate into more anime, which is more important to me than the platform I can view it on.

Actually i own a xbox. Look up my gamertag Zetzuna F Sei.

I do all my gaming on the xbox, but i use my PS3 as my media center.

I just despise the xbox setup that you have to have gold to use apps ( i have gold).

It doesn't look like netflix or Huluplus require gold, just a subscription to netflix/huluplus... However I'm not very knowledgeable about this so I could be wrong...

I am pretty sure they both require xbox live gold for it to work.

That's the only thing that burns me about xbox. And i am a gold subscriber.

Main thing for me is that this is probably coming to UK unlike the ps3 app so I am very happy.
Hopefully the PS3 app will also get a wider release.
