Based on the novel that won Yusuke Kishi a Nihon SF Taisho Award, this highly acclaimed story released in 2008 is so broad, unique, and imaginative that many said a film version would be impossible. Four years later, TV Asahi teams up with director Masashi Ishihama and A-1 Pictures to bring the animated version to life at last.

Five children living in the future are the protagonists. The story begins when they are 12 years old and starting their lives at an advanced school to learn the ‘cursed power’ of telekinesis. They also learn of humanity's bloody history and set out upon epic adventures that place their very lives on the line. The age of 14 brings them still greater trials and heart-wrenching events, and finally, in the summer of their 26th year, a tragedy like nothing history has ever seen befalls mankind...

The humans who possess the cursed power, the race of creatures just as significant as humans, known as ‘bakenezumi,’ and beasts that have evolved in even more bizarre ways - countless forces and speculations come together in this unpredictable three-part story illustrating the lives of the protagonists at ages 12, 14, and 26. Even more profound themes involving the roots of all life can also be found hidden in the story's depths.

Hayate No Gotoku! Can't Take My Eyes Off You has also been added to our Fall 2012 lineup!

Hayate No Gotoku! Can't Take My Eyes Off You will broadcast on Wednesday, October 3rd at 11am PDT in the following territories: North America, South America, Europe, Middle East, and the South Pacific.

Kenjiro Hata, notable for creating Hayate the Combat Butler, also created the new series Hayate No Gotoku! Can’t Take My Eyes Off You. In this series, Hayate Ayasaki continues to work alongside Maria at the Nagi Sanzenin’s mansion. Nagi receives a call from “Area 51” inviting her to the universe but will she accept?

Thanks Crunchyroll. More Hayate is always welcome. I wonder how much screentime Hinagiku will have in this series.

This might be what the Hayate series needs then. The first main series was fun; this looks like worth a look with the new animation and direction on its reboot.

Is this a new season or a reboot? I'm a little confused. Could anyone clarify?

Also nice to have another Wednesday series as that day was quite barren last season. I hope we get more than one new show on Wednesday.

I checked MAL and it says it is not a continuation of the previous seasons and that the series is independent and written by the author himself...so kind of a reboot I guess?

Anyway, I'm excited for this show and I'm also waiting impatiently for the 2nd announcement for today lol

Every time I look at the new Hayate title card, I keep thinking we got another season of TWGOK, Manglobe...come on don't do this to me

Nice, definitely looking forward to this series as I've been a fan of the Hayate the Combat Butler franchise.
