Finally decided to watch it since people said it was so good, the 2nd season all of a sudden hit me in the face like a brick I never cried like that when part of my toe got ripped off or even at a funeral. Like 9 episodes in a row I was balling my freaking eyes out and had a headache from crying nonstop and now I am super sensitive to stuff now and I hate it so much. Clannad is definitely the best anime or rather series in general that I've ever seen in my entire life. Did you guys run into the same problem..

It's considered one of the best anime dramas ever after all. If you want more of the same type of drama, try Kanon and Air. And keep an eye out for Little Busters! this season.

Click to show or hide i hated the first few episodes...cheesy jokes/clubs and dango family lol wtf?!? (tho that locked in gym storage scene was nice) i dropped clannad...twice and kept dragging it cuz its "supposed to get better and oh its soooo sad" but ya, after the baby was born...state of depression and then the train scene..."how is mommy like?" "mommy, nagisa was..." definitely heart breaking and THE saddest anime but...for me, not the best haha

All of these plus Clannad and Angel Beats were written by Jun Maeda. He also composes the music for much of his work and is a game developer. The guy is an artistic genius when it comes to tragedies.

The overall ending is tough for me since the story takes a very weird twist that I do not want to spoil for those that have not watched/finished the series. The build up and tragedies made me cry. It was one of those series that made me go up and tell my dad "thanks for being there for me." I've been trying to get some of my friends into the series, but they see the front cover of the female characters and they just look at me weird.
