Two major things I liked about it were: 1. The soundtrack: One of the best, at least that I've ever heard. 2. Characters: To some, the beginning of the second season might have seemed like 'fluff'--material put in just to get the anime to have a certain number of episodes--, but to me, it wasn't. I saw evidence that practically every character had a purpose, had hardships, went through some kind of journey beforehand. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide ...even the cat! Though, personally, the show didn't make me feel emo at the end. It was just a nice ride.

I know it might take a bit of effort to get it, but there is a fan-translation available, and if you like the anime, I definitely recommend it, especially if you're a fan of some of the side characters, since there's a lot more of them in the game. Also, did anyone else feel like the Tomoya/Nagisa relationship was a little...unhealthy, I guess? I mean, I think the romance was believable and all, but it always struck me that two people with such severe self-esteem issues couldn't possibly ever be happy. It always seemed like their relationship was a feedback loop of "you're too good for me", "no, I'm worthless, you're too good for me", etc. I know for after story to work, I guess that was necessary, but still.

Unhealthy... unstable? Yes, a little. Also, basically what everyone is saying is watch anything that Jun Maeda has worked on.

No not really. We are supposed to believe that they got over their self esteem issues because of one another (and their friends). And while I do see the "you're too good for me" thing from tomoya, I didnt get that from Nagisa's side, she just felt like she was in his debt because of how he helped her out so much.

I just hope others will see this form and take the time to watch it because I would like as many people to see it so it wouldn't be forgotten.

Fuko almost made me rage quit the show early on. But it turned out to be the best anime I've ever seen. I've spent the last couple of years watching hundreds of series in a quest to try to find something comparable to how Clannad made me feel after that first time I completed it. And I'm still looking.
