Clannad...

Well I can see where you're coming from on that one, save that I would lump Clannad and After Story as the same series. I know that kinda detracts from After Story, but to this day I'd still argue you could drop two thirds of the entire Clannad series and still have more than enough episodes to make a properly good anime.

My main problem with Kanon was I found it painfully difficult to take guy's (forgot his name) deep and meaningful relationships with what 5? girls. That and I found his character to be very boring.

But I guess we break even on Air because even though I find it barely comprehensible with some serious mood breaking moments, it was certainly the most tragic and depressing of the lot.

Haven't watched Little Busters, don't know if I will.

Oh and I also hate Angel Beats... heh ;)

God, you would not BELIEVE how much hate I got for saying I hated Angel Beats as well.

After looking at the responses, it seems like mainly guys watch this show but I totally would have thought the opposite, lol.

Clannad and After Story were terrible.

I struggled to finish both of them, Bored me to death...

Best thing about the show was the Piggy.

Actually I would... and that much depresses me. People want to feel secure in what they like and usually end up attacking anything that brings that security into question, usually anything ends up being someone with an unpopular opinion.

Clannad is a piece of art. I think everybody should watch it. I agree with some people that the first season can be boring but the second season is where it shines.

Clannad is a great anime! It's one of the most depressing though, especially Clannad:afterstory

The first season may have been boring but its a must watch for the full experience of emotion in this anime. It set up all relationships with characters and made you feel like you truly know them, which made the lose and sadness more intense. I agree I hated watching the first season with all my guts, but I have to say I'm happy I watched it. If I hadn't watched the first season I wouldn't be calling this anime one of my favorites right now.

I've watched clannad, clannad after story and angel beats. I've never cried even once. but three of my other friends cried their eyes out. So I'm like the 1/4 of the people who got depressed after watching the ending and the rest of them cried.

Clanned is wonderful. I did find the first 10 episode somewhat boring but I can understand why. It was to show how much fun they had even though it wasn't fun for me or you. At the end though...those 10 episodes meant something and we just cried even more. I enjoyed all of Clanned....even the couple boring episodes they had.

I loved angel beats, but I completely understand why you might hate it (Short, unclear ending, doesn't take itself seriously enough, plot holes, etc etc...) They are making VN for it, so I hope that fills in the plot holes.

I dunno about the LB anime, I absolutely LOVED the VN, possible more than I loved clannad, I mean, aside from some ehh side routes, it was amazing.

Air needs a remake, nuff said.

But back to the original...Yea I almost dropped clannad on episode 3, but I had a few days of absolute free time with nothing to do, so I continued, and GOD am I glad i did, watched it all in <4 days.

SnowField

Wasn't the same for a full week after what happens each time when that song is played. Couldn't even sleep the night I finished After Story. Definitely, for me, the hardest hitting anime to the soul. I liked both Kanon and Angel Beats like folks posted above but IMO Clannad and Clannad After Story are in a class of their own. I still get goosebumps listening to Snowfield even though its been 7 months since I finished Clannad and Clannad After Story. Never anticipated how I would feel watching it.
