How can that guy miss so many times with bombs? lol, Bombs are not the type of thing that one easily misses every time on... My only gripe, other than that it was interesting,

It seems like a reverse SAO, game in real life.

While the main character did perhaps act so dumb that he doesn't deserve to live... The alternative would been for him to immediately realize, "I. Am in BTOOM! I must use these BIMs to kill everyone I meet. Unless of course they are attractive, blonde and bathing in a pool in which case I should obviously team up with them and start a romance." oh wait...

Yea. If you can't handle this sort of thing, I would advise you to stop watching now. However, they may cut these scenes. MAYBE. I bet they won't.

Unless this is aired on Noitamina ( which I think is the late night), then I doubt any of the rape scenes will be added into the show.

It was an interesting beginning, a lot less choppy and poorly written than Blast of Tempest was on its first show. I'll keep watching it.

uh...what? Did you actually watch the episode? He acted like most people would, out of self-defense. Because there was a guy THROWING FUCKING BOMBS AT HIM.

I was being sarcastic... Yes, I watched it and liked it. I was saying his reaction was realistic and presented an unrealistic reaction. Have to use some around my sarcasm I guess. Was trying to be funny, not my strong suit it seems!

Don't blame hpully. I originally made that comment and I stand by it. The MC took too long, imo, to come to grips with the situation. How many bombs did his opponent throw before it finally sunk in that he was in mortal danger? That it was pointless to try and negotiate with him? You'd think after the first few bombs that one of the best BTOOOM! players would have acted in self-defense, or at least more aggressively. He didn't. He bumbled around for too long before pulling things together. It felt very unrealistic to me.

Surprisingly slow-paced for an anime. Why didn't he check the pouch to start with?!?!?!?

I would love to see a show where a hardcore otaku (who is great in the gaming world) is put in a real-world situation and bombs ;)

Next week - protagonist spends 20 minutes of screen time working out how to change a lightbulb........

I agree with Panditto. Stopping and surrendering was probably the stupidest thing he could have done too. Also I've not been hit by grenades before, but they are made out of metal with tightly compressed explosives... so I do know they throw off sharpnel and other dangerous bits of debris. Whatshisface should have gotten seriously hurt with those bombs landing so close to him.

I know someone will come up with the lame counterargument that its just fantasy, but realism is necessary for immersions sake, you arent going to get into a show if everything is wonky and doesnt make sense. Even scifi shows that have "fantasy physics" either maintain basic believability, or they explain the more wonky bits to a realistic degree.

I think they were desperately trying to drag out a lack of material ;)

It was already out for a few days. I watched tiny bits of it, and it was entirely focused on the girl and her past.

I disagree that he took too long. Anyone in that situation would be extremely confused. I believe at the time he thought the guy was misunderstanding something so he wanted to show that he didn't want to fight.

The simple fact that he managed to form an strategy in the middle of all that hell is enough to show that he's capable.

I actually agree with this. And no, if something exploded near you, you would probaly lose a part of your body at the least, not just get hit by debris and whatnot. If there isn't an explanation for it afterwards(like the bombs are a bit different from normal, or maybe the MC was being protected by something, since this is a "game" after all) then this was very stupid, pretty much the only thing that felt out of place in the episode.

I disagree. I think he should have pulled his act together far earlier. I was rolling my eyes when he couldn't figure out that a countdown on a device might be a bad thing. That's when I started thinking he may be too dumb to live. But, since he's the MC, that's not going to happen.
