That's a bummer, it would've been interesting to see.

New stories are good too though.

Now that I finished the series I have one question. Who was the monster? Either MC could be a monster at times.

Johan Liebert...

Seriously though the title in Japanese, Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun, implies that it's the male character. (I've only seen one episode of the series) Kaibutsu means monster and kun is a suffix that typically is used when addressing males of equal or lower social standing. Although I have seen it used towards females, almost exclusively in the case when a boss is addressing a subordinate though.

Thought that there was news about a second season when I saw this discussion. I've been betrayed once again.

I just picked up this series and have been really enjoying it. It feels like a fresh take on the standard anime rom-com. Haru and Shizuku are so perfect together. The way they both say what's on their minds is awesome.

ZOMG! It's about time it got licensed. I loved the show enough to start buying the manga, and I haven't bought manga in years prior to this. And thankfully NIS America has done away with the giant sized boxes they used to have and are using the more reasonable sized ones like they did with Genshiken and Eccentric Family.

Kinda funny how people first found out about this cause of the Right Stuf catalog before there was even any official announcement.

I just pre-ordered it off the NISA website -- so happy :D

I have purchased all the manga that is out, and pre-ordered up to volume 11. Even if the series never gets a second season at least I will own the finished story via the manga, along with the great anime season they gave us.
