I'm sure there are a lot of you who have heard of or even seen Hatsune Miku! Has anybody ever been to one of the shows? I hear there's one being fan-made in Scotland next year and it has me very interested.  |

I've heard OF her, and watched youtube footage of a concert.
Impressive technology, but it doesn't hold a candle to a real performance by an actual artist.

Miku is the shit! I love her and some other vocaloids are awesome. I mainly like Miku trance. My bro was in Cali for Mikunopolis.

On a site like this, the question might be who HASN'T at least heard of Hatsune Miku! While not really into J-Pop or anything related to that at all, I actually did see Mikunopolis at AX'11 with my then fiancée now wife. I figure it'd be cool to see her first "live" overseas concert and be a witness to a groundbreaking event in entertainment. We had seats in the second row from the stage, just barely left of dead-center, and it was VERY VERY loud! I had hearing loss for the next 24 hours or so! My wife endured it for my sake, but I thought it was pretty cool indeed! Viewing her (and Rin and Len, and Luka, who appeared for a bit as well) dead-on, the visuals were quite clear, and her movements very smooth, I thought. Sadly, I've only the ticket itself as a souvenir-- no photographs allowed at all of the concert. I recall security taking people out every so often during the concert-- I'm assuming for trying to sneak a photo or other recording.

^yeah i agree. on crunchyroll i'm sure more than 50% of people listen to her and 80% have at least heard of her 0.0. i like some of her songs like roundabout and gravity. i don't listen to as much as i used to since i prefer a human voice.

I really want to go to one, but I'm pretty sure they're pricey- also
1. It'll be awkward to go- my mom will probably have to go with me, and although she accepts my hobbies it's still really awkward.
2. They are usually only shown in popular states of the country- I can't go all the way to Arizona, California, etc!
