This morning I went about my business like usual. along from ordering tons of sh*t from the internet I usually check my bank account like 50x's a day...(well not that much but I check it frequently). so this morning I went to check my bank statement and noticed there was like $700 worth of SH*T I didn't buy or authorize. so I called my bank and shut my card off. then spent an gnarly 3 hours calling up each company individually to cancel each order. that was the worst part too... I am so angry lol. any way I was looking at these places that the fraud had ordered from I was like WTF I would never go there... they ordered like some women products, girl magazines, some kitchen set from ikea(bulk of the money)..... someone really had done me in this morning..... has this ever happened to anyone of you?

Couldn't you call the police? and how did they get into your bank account in the first place?

I would be really pissed too. I was mad enough when someone hacked my gaming account, but that does not compare to the frustration you must be feeling from this.

It happened to my mom. Someone had purchased stuff worth about 2700$ from different websites after she came home from a holiday. The bank took care of everything though and she got it all back, but she was mad as hell and with good reason.

Yeah but BofA took care of the whole dispute and then VISA notified me of their own accord and reversed all the charges. I wouldn't be surprised if they mobilized an INTERPOL strike team for a takedown on the offending IP address owner.

Well there's your problem. Either you ordered something from an insecure site or your computer is infected.

I searched google for all the websites called them back up and one by one cancelled each order... that was a pain in the @ss!. you can't really call the police. as they have nothing to do with. but each company I called the representitive will put the name the fraud used in a blacklist, so that name will blocked from any further ordering.... so far I got most of my money put back in my account... tomorrow the rest will be refunded or replaced.

anyway theres people out there with lists of card numbers and names.... ( sadly to say I have seen this happen with my own eyes as a person I knew used to do this)... what they do is they place an order and go down the list till a name and a card # goes through for order with out any code authorization. its pretty scary so now I will force my self to check more and change my card number.

I would love to get the owners IP address myself than I could give him a present.

Good Luck on that. With all much going on ..really should be a security and check first paranoia is well better attitude nowadays
Honestly, i sell products via on line but come to think of it i never buy yet a product via the net also. I find my self a traditional shopper who goes to the mall or boutique and stores to see the products and buy it first hand.

well if I can buy something from the store I would do it.... but when it comes to seasoned anime on blu ray... or a new or used android tablet( which I constantly wheel and deal).. most of those products are brought through the net.

Someone actually did this to my step dad the other day, he doesn't talk much so he didn't tell me what they bought, but he wasn't happy.
