I'm sorry to hear that happened.

Well, my parents had this happen to them. My dad found out about it when he was checking their bank account, and found out that someone in Texas had been charging things to their account.

This morning I went about my business like usual. along from ordering tons of sh*t from the internet I usually check my bank account like 50x's a day...(well not that much but I check it frequently). so this morning I went to check my bank statement and noticed there was like $700 worth of SH*T I didn't buy or authorize. so I called my bank and shut my card off. then spent an gnarly 3 hours calling up each company individually to cancel each order. that was the worst part too... I am so angry lol. any way I was looking at these places that the fraud had ordered from I was like WTF I would never go there... they ordered like some women products, girl magazines, some kitchen set from ikea(bulk of the money)..... someone really had done me in this morning..... has this ever happened to anyone of you?

it has happened to me

the new thing is ad blockers
you can have an ad blocker program and it really works
but its recording your information and sending it to its programmers or whomever
even if its a trusted site
trusted sites only guarantee their sites
but they don't stop your computer programs from giving out personal info
so disable your ad blocker when you put your personal info in
(now i don't mean norton or mcafee those are firewalls i mean ad blockers that you get for free)
hope it all gets better for you

Firefox > Google Chrome because of the privacy. Firefox does not sell any personal information and more secure.

Thank you for that... I do that already...........another good thing to help block info is peerblock and bit guard as well..... I'm fine now that my card was shut down. I know people in vegas that do this for a living. I thought it would of never happened to me though. I'm happy i dont affiliate with people like that anymore... maybe its karma...

Yeah, something like this happened to me too. Checked my account and saw unauthorized transactions that happened in Los Angeles, California. I was like "WTF?! I didn't make those transactions! I don't even live in L.A.!"

Called my bank, had my current debit card shut down and ordered a new one. It's definitely a pain in the ass to not have money until the bank finishes with the fraud investigation...

i learned how to steal money from rich people, without having them know about it. but i have never done it. though my bank sends me a new card ever few months because they said that there was weird activity with my card so i never had a fraud.

i've been getting to much pm's, so its called pickpocketing. i can't pickpocket for shit, so its just a knowledge thing.

Close all the credit card accounts, empty your bank accounts and bury the money in your back yard!

Just kidding, you shouldn't do that.

Nah.

You can blame your bank for that. I'm saying that you can, not that it's the bank's fault.
