Blast of Tempest



The story revolves around Mahiro Fuwa, a teenager whose family was mysteriously murdered one year before and his friend Yoshino Takigawa. Mahiro is contacted by Hakase Kusaribe, the leader of the Kusaribe clan who was left stranded on an unknown desert island by her followers, and agrees to help Hakase in exchange of her help to find out the culprit for the death of his family. Upon learining of his friend's intentions, Yoshino joins him on his quest to stand against the Kusaribe clan who intends to awake the "Tree of Zetsuen" whose power can bring ruin to the entire world.

I'm really looking forward to this. First episode drops tomorrow here on CR!

I'm not a fan of the English translation of "Blast of Tempest" for zetsuen no tenpesto. It's written 絶園 which combines discontinuation with park. With Japanese, context is everything. The best I can come up with is Apocalypse Tempest, but Apocalypse Storm sounds better.

Ye, looking forward to this although I have to say that Zetsuen no Tempest sounds like a cooler title imo. The characters' designs are pretty cool though:

I enjoyed the first episode quite a bit. Both the animation and music are great.

There are a number of similarities to Guilty Crown. I just hope this has a better story.

I wasn't really expecting much from this show, but I found this episode to be pretty enjoyable.
I do think the protagonists are a little bland, but hopefully they will grow on me.

The characters were cardboard, I couldnt empathize with them at all. The pacing was bleh, the continuity of the story telling was wonky, and the near-continuous music in the background was really annoying and distracting.

I'll give it a few more episodes before I give it a proper rating, right now though it reminds me of Guilty Crown.

I thought it was a great beginning, better than I'd expected.. As for the name I don't find that jukugo in any of my dictionaries. Garden end, end of eden which could be end of innocence or apocalypse though zetsuen normally means the end of a relationship so it could have a double meaning. Anyways, I shall be watching!

first episode was amazing, a few more elements and it would be the best first episode i've ever seen.

soo far i give it s 9.8/10.

artwork is really cool, the voice actors that i like off the bat, i really like how it flows.

as kitsuneshoujo mentions, reminds me of guilty crown a bit, but it actually doesn't have that empty feeling i get with GC.

unlike anime kami, i find that there is a special kind of romance in the series. really looking forward to how it unveils.

looks good from the first episode but im gonna drop this show since i learn the manga is still ongoing so its either this anime will have a original anime ending (that are usually poor ending) or just a open ending anime so im gonna pass

the story is like Guilty Crown though, a deadly illness that threatens to destroy the world along with some villains that tries to use some super alien-magic to change the world by destroying it and then some people that acquires super-powers will go and try to save the world

I don't care about the lack of romance, I just can't stand Yoshino's (was that his name? The main boy, anyway) hair. It distracted me. Wearing hairclips like that...
