It was a good refreshment in a way and the latter half showed more of Mahiro and his inner thoughts/memories. The new ED song is okay as well. Next episode looks like it'll be a fun watch.

Click to show or hide Mage of Exodus revealed as that new character, unless of course they're screwing with us and trying to throw us off and that guy is mistaken about who he thinks he is but that dark red magic as opposed to the blue magic of the Kusaribe clan that gets their power from the Tree of Genesis seems to support that he is the Mage of Exodus no mistake
