I agree..and the sound effects seem to be louder than they should. They're a lot different from the previous seasons. I hardly laughed so far...

I loved Hayate no Gotoku for years! So far, it's extremely disappointing. Watching Ruka softened the blow though

After watching the first 2 seasons and then this.....I was disappointed. It just felt too different. If this series is suppose to be original, why bring up the other series and movie at all? Not only that, what is up with the female Hayate? Overall it isn't horrible, but compared to what I have watched in the past, not that good.

It seems they really want this series to end so they just didn't give a shit about the story. It feels so disjointed and it's been so long since the previous series that doing new material seems stupid to me.

It's seems like it's set up to fall in After Nagi gets her fortune back, so some time after were we currently are in the Manga, it's kind of an interesting spot to place things especially when you consider that the Author is the one behind this story..


poor Tama and Klause though. 1 scene each just to show they still exist.

I haven't kept up with the manga so I feel like i don't know half of these characters. It still feels a little too early to see where this is going.Overall it doesn't seem that bad, but it's showing a pretty weak start.

Loved the first two seasons! It's a nice light-hearted comedy to contrast all the intense stuff I've been watching/rewatching (Guilty Crown, Code Geass, SAO, etc)...

Hina is staying in the apartment where Ruri is staying, so she should show up sooner or later
The last issue of the Manga placed the date around July 31st, in a time after Nagi lost her fortune. It seems that in the preceeding two months she somehow regained this fortune. I don't see it as based in an alternate universe, but rather telling a story of what will happen in the story. I wont be surprised at all, when in two or so years when the manga has caught up to September, We see Ruri in it.

Otherwise I agree, This new seasons character design seems like they took the old designs and ... gave them fros. all of there hairs seem way more poofy, it's out of place almost.

Otherwise the jokes are just like the previous seasons, they just took a lot of focus away from hayate x nagi, though it's still there.

Admittedly, I didn't see the second season, or kept up with the manga at all, so I can't really say if it is as good, but I thought the show is pretty good so far. Good, not great, but I've never really seen Hayate as much more than an amusing diversion, anyway, and I still like the little one-off jokes.

The character designs don't bother me too much, though I will agree they aren't as good as in the past. The animation quality is definitely better than most modern shows, though. And I'm really curious as to how the series is going to lead to the part with Nagi at the start of ep. 1. Still, it does feel like, if the show is really going to be more story-focused than the earlier Hayate anime, it probably should start moving forward quick. I'm not sure if the tease of Nagi in Vegas could keep me interested more than 5 or 6 episodes.
