She's thrown into this unexpectedly, so she's put into a harsh environment with little practical training right off the bat. She has time to grow and develop as a character, sure, but she never came across as useless to me during the episode. Naive, yes, but this is her first case, with it being a tough choice. Not to mention Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide she kinda sees someone explode right in front of her (which would be shocking to oh, I dunno, everybody) . Overall, this is definitely my favourite thing airing this season. Harkens back to sci-fi OVAs of the 80's with modern execution in this first episode, and it has plenty of promises and directions it can take (even if some of those paths might end up being clichés of dystopian fiction). The dark and oppressive tone fits the dystopian society well, and the characters set up are pretty interesting already. And yes, I don't mind Tsunemori in the slightest. I want to see how the situation she's thrust in affects her mental state and such.

I was kind of surprised by the choice Tsunemori made at the end, I like her. Can't wait to see where this goes. I love that we're getting a number of Sci-Fi shows this season. Nice to hear Kana Hanazawa's voice too ( I miss Binbougami ga! already ).
