Another great episode. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Looks like Akane has learned a lot from Kogami. In essence, I feel Kogami wants Akane to find him because he knows she would be the only one to find the clues. Sad this will be ending soon. I have enjoyed this anime thoroughly. |

So based on that episode (20)....
Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide I feel that it's almost guaranteed that both Makishima and Kogami will die. If Makishima is captured, then Kogami won't be killed? Yeah, by now, you know damn well that Kogami will go all the way and kill Makishima. Unless the Sibyl system is conveniently destroyed or disabled when Makishima is killed, Kogami will die.
I don't see a happy end to this story, and frankly, I would be disappointed if we got an "everyone lives happily ever after" kind of finish. |

Progressing where I thought it is heading. Akane has indeed learned a lot from Kogami .
I like how her character grew in this anime. I feel my friends who gave up on this anime because of her are really missing a lot for example how well the characters are written.Too bad.

but if you notice Akane has been narrating or recalling some episodes here amd there regarding Kogami, , so there is definitely something going to happen to Kogami .... well , its still a toss up.And i dont think it will be happily ever after or is it....? lol

Wow. I love how this is all drawing to a close. The philosophical discussion with Akane was quite enlightening. The machine itself is rather Machiavellian, but it runs based on Jeremy Bentham's principle that "it is the greatest happiness of the greatest number that is the measure of right and wrong."
I can't wait to see Gen Urobuchi's twist on this. The next two episodes should be quite exciting.

Man ...I didnt see that one coming....Makishima is always one step ahead .....
Knowing next week is the end is in a way sad but at the same time I am really looking forward and so excited to see the conclusion of the story.

Ep. 21. 1 more episode to go before the finale!

Click to show or hide I was flabbergasted watching this episode because I didn't anticipate,expect the events to play out this way I knew Urobochi sensei will kill off another character, but I wasn't expecting Masaoko-san to die since he seemed to be the most experienced of them all. I thought Urobochi would kill Yayoi or Gino next. I cried watching this episode feeling moved by the sacrifice Masaoko did to save his son and seeing the distraught reaction of Gino made that moment poignant. Now, how will Urobochi sensei will end the story? I have few predictions for the ending First, I have an inkling that Gino would snap and he would kill Makishima to avenge his father. Second, Akane would get there too late to prevent Kogami from killing Makishima. Three, Makishima kills Kogami which in turn Tsunemori losses control and kills Makishima. Lastly, Tsunemori makes it in time to stop Kogami and capture Makishima.
Even though next week will be the last episode, I can't wait to see the final episode of this great anime. I am hoping Urobochi sensei will give this anime the conclusion that it deserves, that the fans will be satisfied with.

I was swearing by the end. These episodes just fly by!
Except for a few minor missteps, this is almost a masterpiece in my book. Smart writing, great characters, and the music! I'll have to get the soundtrack, that's for sure. :)
I can't wait until next week. The final showdown of Kogami, Makishima, and Akane should be awesome.
