I admire Akane's nerve of steel to go above and beyond her duty, even risking her life to bring down Makishima. At the very least, I thought Makishima would have the same amount of tenacity as Kogami to keep fighting, in order to kill Kogami, his best toy. But I guess it proves to show, that in the end Kogami is the best predator ,thus Makishima accepted the undeniable and inevitable truth that he would die by Kogami's hands. Towards the last 30 seconds of the show, the recreation of Ep. 1, which Akane revised some of the things that Ginoza have said in the beginning while she was talking with the newbie Inspector, is a good way to conclude the show because of the fluid transition of the continuation of starting the process again with a new beginning- a fresh start, if you could call it that. I smiled a bit when Akane asked Ginoza if the glasses are just for show and Gino's gentle, cute reaction and response that he doesn't like his eyes. I am curious as to where Kogami is heading and what would he do now? Since he killed Makishima is the kill order still valid? That last scene of Kogami on a boat almost tease, hint a possibility of season 2 but then it's probably just my wishful thinking and reading into things too much.

But, the system is too big to overcome with what they have to work with so they keep going and Sibyl will eventually be scrapped.

Yea, I'm a bit disappointed but I'm not sure how that ending needed to be to make it a "guns blazing" ending. Overall still a great anime.

Perhaps that was open ended because they wanted to make another season or maybe a movie? I think a move could wrap up everything, with the shut down of Sibyl.

Yeah a bigger fight scene between Kogami and Makshima would've been cool too... But the dude was injured and knew that Kogami would catch up to him shortly anyways...

Few things at the end grabbed my attention... 4 enforcers walked out the truck and it only showed 2, and then the ending scenes while credits rolled showed a slicked back black haired man sitting in the room with that pink hair sibyl bitch. But Kogami at the end on a ship outa there kinda made me not care anyways lol


-Edit: Upon further thought... slicked back black hair guy = the dude that was like a teacher to Kogami? And if so for what purpose, to be added into the sibyl system or for help in tracking down Kogami... Tho I see no real reason to care if they really find him or not as he didnt know the truth of the system.

I thought the final confrontation between Kogami and Makshima was good, however the ending felt a bit anticlimactic. I did not expect the Sibyl system to be taken down, but it would have been nice to find out more about what happened to Kogami. I did like how the ending mimicked the beginning .

Revolving around the new detective (who turned out to be Mika Shimotsuki, the friend of one of the victims in the Oso Girl's Academy incident) of Division 1 as the main character this time? Maybe she's the one to ultimately take down the Sibyl System like Akane said someone would.

It was officially confirmed, Yayoi and Shion are "XXX". I'm glad Yayoi survived - I really liked her character.

Pretty impressive series imo even with the lackluster finale. So Makishima finally gets the bang huh? Nice. But in the end, I guess nothing was changed. I doubt there will be a season 2 although the very final scene sort of hints it along with a new recruit.

Oh and Gino looks like a badass without those sunglasses. I'm fucking serious.
